2* Texas Tech -7
T-Tech's offense is improving and Nebraska has no offense. Nebraska admittedly has a tough defense but they won't be able to keep up here. Tech comes homeafter meeting a much tougher opponent last week in Oklahoma in Tech's best defensive efffort of year.
1* California +7
Line seems suspiciously fat but I'm taking the bait. Cal's simply been the better team this year. Game likely decides the Pac 10 championship and maybe a shot at national title. Cal QB Rodgers is playing better than SC's Leinart and So Cal still living on last year's rep.
1* Ball State -7
Ball is a so-so team in the MAC but Eastern Michigan is still terrible and hasn't improved under its new coach. Ball has been crushed three times on the road but both home games were impressive and this one is at home. Eastern couldn't even beat Idaho last week and that was at Eastern.
1* NC State -10
While the game is at North Carolina, the schools are only a half hour apart and NC State should have a big road following. Big coaching mismatch in State's favor.
1* Kansas State -2 1/2
Idenitical circumstance to the above game. K State showed major improvement in coming from way behind to scare A and M last week. Kansas has lost three in row and hasn't beaten K State in ages.
Opinions only: Oklahoma over Texas and Wisconsin, with the nation's best defense, may upset Ohio State in Columbus.
