  • CFB Picks 10/9

Quick question before I get to the picks for this week. Does anyone gain any value from reading my analysis on NFL and CFB plays? I ask because it takes some time and effort on my part to post it, and if nobody gains any value from it here, I will instead simply post my picks without any analysis. Anyway, first the record for this season:

    Last Week

    LOSS - 2 UNITS - NEW MEXICO +10
    WIN - 2 UNITS - CALIFORNIA -6.5
    WIN - 10 UNITS - MISSOURI -7

    CFB Record to Date: 2-1
CFB Units to Date: +10.00 (not including vig)

Good week, though the colorado-missouri game was like torture. It was far too close. Anyway, only one play (for now, though I may add) this week, on to the pick:

    Oklahoma State (-6.5) @
    Colorado

Before you ask, yes, Colorado is a bet against team for me this season. They aren't good. Let me repeat that, they aren't good. Purify is a psychologically fragile running back. If you stop him early, he just doesn't run as hard or as well later in the game. Klatt is actually a decent QB, certainly better than I expected, but he can't do it alone, and his recievers don't blow me away. Ok State's defense will get the job done, and their powerful running game should put up enough points to easily beat this spread.

    Pick: 5 UNITS - OKLAHOMA STATE (-6.5)

Reviews are always better - and much appreciated !!!! Gives me better insight into how much the poster really knows/feels about the game. Thanks!

I'm going to up my play on Oklahoma State to 7 Units. Even some of the staunchest Buff fans here in Boulder are telling me they think Colorado is going to get killed. It has made me feel stronger about my original read (which was to make a 10 Unit play on Ok State). Just remember, this team is just a play or two in two games (against terrible teams) from being 1-3. I'm also adding this play:

      Oregon @
      Washington State (-3.5)

By my ratings, there are only two worse teams in the Pac-10 than Washington State: Arizona and Washington. Their offense just doesn't click. Watch them play and you'll see what I mean. Now Oregon hasn't exactly thrilled me either, but they are well coached, and coming off a loss at home will be hungry enough to pull out a road win.

      Play: 3 UNITS - Oregon +3.5
