  • Kudos to Mike Sherman

for finally dumping Mike McKenzie. Let's see, the loser signs a contract for 5 years and then is unhappy because other corners are getting more money. Then he holds out for a game and doesn't get paid approx $160,000 so he decides to come back. He plays all of 9 plays against the Bears and then gets this mysterious hamstring injury, but passes GO and collects his paycheck for 3 games. What are the odds that he will be healed in time for the Saints first game?

Will J.T. O'Sullivan be the next #4 in Green and Gold? Stay tuned...

You're crazy. Sherman has lost control of his team. First, three guys skip mini-camp. Then, two others pulicly rip one of their position coaches. Now, after vowing not to trade McKenzie for anything less than a first round pick, he deals him for a second round pick. He has just rewarded McKenzie for his insolence and told every other player who wants out of Green Bay that if they act like a jackass, he'll wimp out and trade him.

Green Bay is imploding and the wussing out on McKenzie is the latest sign of it.

Hey Gris, get a clue. How many more games would he have holded out and collected a check for nothing and still disrupted whatever team chemistry is left? I take it you work for a living? Do you have to honor up to your contract? If you don't, can you still show up, do nothing and get paid? You have to cut the ties somewhere and it's obvious McKenzie was not going to do anything to live up to his end of the bargain. How long do you wait(and get nothing later)? I personally would have loved to see him not show up, collect nothing for 3 more years and join Ricky Williams in his world. That being said, you may be right. Time will tell, but I wish him nothing but failure and unhappiness.
