1.) Purdue--At 2:30 pm, on NBC TV, our selection is on Purdue vs.
>Notre Dame, as the Boilermakers fall into an awesome system that is
>32-5 ATS, which involves playing on road teams priced from +1 to -10
>that failed to cover as a road favorite of 14 (or more) points in
>their previous game. Last week, Purdue travelled to Illinois, and
>was favored by 22, yet won only by 8. Obviously, the Boilers were
>looking ahead to this game vs. their in-state rival, and our system
>shows how small road favorites rebound after failing to cover as a
>large road favorite. In their first two games, Joe Tiller's men put
>up 51 and 59 points. Notre Dame, meanwhile, has only reached the
>35-point mark in 3 of their last 40 games! The Irish don't have the
>talent to match points with Purdue QB Kyle Orton, and the pass-happy
>Purdue offense. Lay the small number.

>2.) Missouri--At 3:30 pm, on ABC TV, our selection is on the
>Missouri Tigers vs. Colorado, as Missouri falls into a great angle
>of mine that is 10-0 ATS since 1980. This system involves playing
>against certain road dogs of +3 or more points off back-to-back
>wins, if their last win came at home; their win percentage is
>greater than .875; and they're matched up against a foe off a SU/ATS
>win with revenge. Last week, Missouri had the week off following its
>first pointspread win of the year (48-0 vs. Ball St), and the
>Buffaloes also had the week off following victories over North Texas
>(52-21) and Washington St (20-12). With revenge from a 21-16 loss
>last season at Boulder (Missouri's only pointspread defeat in its
>last 7 conference games), I look for Brad Smith & Company to finally
>live up to their Preseason Top 20 billing and blow out Colorado. Lay
>the points.
>
>3.) Oklahoma State--At 2 pm (please note the time change), our
>selection is on Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State, as the Cowboys fall
>into a system of mine that is a perfect 18-0 ATS, which involves
>playing on certain .500 (or better) home teams off a blowout win, in
>which they scored 55+ points, provided they're favored by less than
>19 points, and their foe is off back-to-back ATS wins. Oklahoma
>State routed SMU 59-7 in its last game, while Iowa State is 2-1 SU
>and 2-0 ATS after outlasting Northern Illinois 48-41. Take the
>Cowboys.
>
>4.) Central Michigan--At 1 pm, our MAC Game of the Month is on
>Central Michigan vs. Kent, as the Chippewas fall into a system of
>mine that has a record of 68-12 ATS since 1980. This angle plays on
>certain .250 (or better) Conference home teams with rest, if they're
>off a win; they're NOT favored by 3 or more points; and they're
>matched up against a .250 (or better) foe. The Chips have one of the
>more prolific offenses in the MAC, and will benefit from their bye
>week which allowed a couple of key players to recover from early
>season injuries. The Chippewas (1-2) last played on September 18
>when they defeated SE Missouri State, 44-27, for Brian Kelly’s first
>win as head coach. Central Michigan is ranked fourth in the
>conference, averaging over 400 yards per game of total offense.
>Following the bye, sophomore tailback Jerry Seymour and his 358
>all-purpose yards will return to the lineup. The team’s leading
>rusher and the 2nd ranked runner in the MAC (92.0 yds/game), Seymour
>was banged up against Michigan State and had just two carries
>against SEMO. Junior QB Kent Smith had a career day against SEMO,
>throwing for 303 yards and two touchdowns, and I expect the
>high-powered CMU offense to lead the Chippewas to an upset win over
>Kent. Take the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. And don't
>miss my 3-game nighttime package. It's available right now
