1000♦ N.L. GAME OF THE YEAR PART 5
San Francisco at San Diego
EASY WINNER
1000♦ NL Game of the Year Part 5 - SAN FRANCISCO: It's do or die, sort of, for the Giants tonight, as a win puts them in position to keep their run toward the postseason alive. A loss would send them in a serious downward spiral with a season-ending trip to Los Angeles looming, and the all-of-a-sudden Astros surging toward the Wild Card berth. San Fran let Wednesday's game slip away, so tonight it will be swinging the sticks against Adam Eaton, who is 3-7 at home. The Padres are 12-4 over (little totals tip) when Eaton starts at home, which means he is giving up plenty of runs. His 5.28 ERA at home is indicative of what he apparently yields. Personally, I am staying away from this total since Williams has a stellar 2.00 ERA in his last four starts against the Padres. On the other side, Eaton is 0-2 in his last four starts against the Giants and has a 4.50 ERA in 26 innings pitched. Bottom line, we have the better pitcher for this game and a team that must win - play the Giants.

CONNECTICUT - Talk about war - this one will be classic. But I am not worried about laying the points with the Huskies, as they've continued their upward climb in Division I play the past few years, while awaiting their inclusion into this conference. The Panthers will be in for a rude awakening when they see what Orlovsky has to offer. This is a seasoned quarterback who can throw the ball around 60 yards - ACCURATELY - and has already earned Big East Offensive Player of the Week honors. I can't say enough about this kid, and though I was against him two weeks ago while riding Boston College, I know this is his big chance for redemption on Naitonal TV, against a popular Big East football school. He will not make the mistakes he made against BC, and his line will provide better protection.
This all plays into my play on OVER 46, because as long as Orlovsky is driving the Huskies for scoring drives every other possession in the first half, Pittsburgh will hang tough every three drives. I expect you will be two-thirds of the way to this total by halftime - and if you check the halftime total, you could very well be in a position to middle it with an UNDER play on the second half total ONLY. Regardless of your decision, the play on this total is clearly on the Over.

Larry Fitzgerald and Rod Rutherford are gone and it has shown in a major way. The Pittsburgh Panthers are just not that good anymore. They only returned 3 returning starters on offense and it almost resulted in a loss to Division 1-AA Furman last week at home. The Paladins outplayed the Panthers and actually led by about 17 fairly late in that game before Pittsburgh rallied for an overtime win.
The Paladins are a good team but if you are a major d-1 team like Pitt should be then that game needs to be won a little easier, it's just that simple.
Connecticut meanwhile brought back 16 starters this season including stud quarterback Dan Orlovski. The Huskies are 3-1 on the season but are still a little upset about how poorly they played in the Big East opener at BC. They were badly outplayed and are going to look to atone here against a weaker Pittsburgh squad.
At home Orlovski and the UCONN offense is going to show that they belong in the Big East conference and can not only play with the so-called big boys but also beat up on the big boys. The question is whether Pittsburgh is a big boy anymore. You will see very shortly that the answer to this question is no.
Those guys you just posted have gone on some really good streeaks, and also a few bad ones.. I have bought their plays in the past. I will tell you to watch out for Sean Michaels. He boast some real bull shit, but he can get real hot. They are all on a site www.biggreenmachine.net
