  • NCAA Football Plays 10/2

I've decided to post my college football plays in addition to my NFL plays since I did much better this past weekend. With college games, I tend to only play 1 or 2 games a week (3 at the absolute most), don't ask me why, I guess I'm just really picky with all those huge point spreads. On to this weekend:

    Colorado Buffalos @
    Missouri Tigers (-7)

Let me start by saying, I'm a University of Colorado alumni. Now, I betting on any game where I have a connection to the team, but this one is just too good. The Buffalos are 3-0, having just escaped horrible Washington, and horrible Colorado State before trouncing super horrible North Texas. Missouri's loss to Troy State (an away game) is alarming, but their biggest strength (QB Brad Smith and the passing game) just happens to be Colorado's biggest weakness (the secondary). If this game were Missouri minus 21, I would still be inclined to place a bet on the Tigers. As it stands, I'm going to make a bet the size of which I never make, because this game just seems like outright oddsmaker error to me and I just can't pass it up, though I'll admit, I'm already nervous that I have so much money on the line.

    Play: 10 UNITS - MISSOURI TIGERS -7

    California Bears (-6) @
    Oregon State Beavers

I'm not thrilled with betting on a college team that has just had three weeks off between games (unless it's a bowl game), but California against a Beaver team that just keeps staggering after the LSU loss and is likely quickly giving up on the season is a risk I'm willing to take. The fact that the Bears tend to run up the score on opponents didn't hurt this decision as well.

Play: 2 UNITS - CALIFORNIA GOLDEN BEARS -6

    Record to date: 0-0
    Units to date: +0.00

I agree with you on A&M getting too much credit, and I may still make a small play on K-State. My only fear is that College Station is a tough place to play, and K-State has yet to prove that they are even a mediocre team this year (though I don't doubt they are still better than A&M, but home field does count for something).

I don't usually add games late, but I'm going to do it anyway:

        Utah (-10) @
        New Mexico

I have a strong feeling this will be a one score game when it comes to the end. The Lobos are tough enough at home to keep it close (and maybe win). My feel is that it will be close either way, so +10 sounds good to me.

        Play: 2 UNIT - NEW MEXICO +10
