We made this same call yesterday as a High Roller selection and came up on the short end of a 9-2 Giants win. Nevertheless, we are coming right back with this same play as one offensive outburst by San Francisco is not enough to convince that these teams are still not in an “Under” mode right now. This is especially true given that today’s pitching match-up is far stronger than yesterday’s. But before we touch on the starting pitching, let’s review some of the Giants tendencies of late.

As noted Tuesday, we’ve made more money playing “Over” in Giants games than just about any other form of baseball bet this year. Our reason for playing the Giants “Over and Over and Over” again earlier in the season was quite simple. Namely, SF boasted one of the most underrated offenses in baseball while their pitching (Jason Schmidt notwithstanding), and especially their bullpen, were mediocre at best. Entering September 1, the G-Men were a ridiculous 25-8 (o/u) their last thirty-three games, a jaw dropping 43-22 (o/u) at home and hard-to-believe 52-34 (o/u) in night games!!! We thought hell was going to freeze over before this team would reverse course.

But as we also noted Tuesday, San Fran’s play has been turned upside down recently. All of a sudden, the Giants can’t hit a lick (notwithstanding yesterday’s outburst) and their pitching is rock solid from top to bottom. Consider that they are hitting just .243 and averaging only 4.4 runs per game over their last ten. And their pitching has been absolutely dominant during this stretch with an eye-popping 2.02 ERA overall and 3.54 ERA out of the bullpen. But talk is cheap. Most importantly, even despite yesterday’s results, the Giants are a still 1-10 (o/u) their last eleven games.

Houston for their part is in a similar pattern of late. In particular, the Astros are hitting just .214 and averaging a 3.5 runs per game during their last ten. Meanwhile, their team ERA during this stretch is 3.53. And yesterday’s pitching match-up is nowhere near as strong as today’s. Consider that the Astros Oswalt will check in with a 3.48 ERA overall, a 3.14 ERA at night and 2.91 ERA his last three starts. The flame-throwing right hander is also 9th in the Majors with 191 strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Giants will counter with rookie Lowry who comes in with a 4.09 ERA. However, he has pitched brilliantly at home where he boasts a 2.90 ERA and 34/8 - K/BB walk ratio in 40 innings pitched. His home dominance should continue tonight against an Astros offense that has hit the skids of late. And the Giants will be facing a much tougher assignment in Oswalt than they did last night in Hernandez. Yesterday was an aberration. This one stays “Under” the posted total.

Where did you get that JHSportsline was on Oak last night??? I hope you did not make that post knowing you were giving the wrong side out....

Below is exactly how I got it....

This is from last night....Sept 21

MONSTER 20* PLAY on the DODGERS

I just purchased it and thought I'd share it

                        20* Los Angeles Dodgers +110 (Weaver/Eaton)

The padres had a day off Monday after returning home from a long road trip. Adam Eaton shutout Jeff Weaver 5 days ago at Dodger stadium. You probably know its very difficult for the same pitcher to defeat the same team twice in less than a week. It was no surprise Eaton was Awesome on Monday. He always dominates the Dodgers in LA. However when Eaton is at home he has a 7.25 ERA Vs, LA. The Padres are Not at full strength. Two of the Padres better players, 3B Sean Buroughs, and SS K. Green are out for the year.

Also, the Dodgers are in a fight for their lives with SF for the Division title. The Dodgers had a huge Comeback win on Sunday over the Rockies and that should help LA in this first game. The Dodgers are 11-5 when playing with a day off while the Padres are 6-7. That stat really doesn't mean much however its relative information.

                            Spark,

The fact that Sportsgam's first post was a blatant lie about a service pick is a strong indication that it was a dirty trick, and not a mistake. I have tried in the past to raise red flags about new posters who tout or diss certain services.

The fact that the improper post was made very late in the thread is a further indication it was a deliberate act. By posting late, the poster knew you and many others were no longer watching online.

Whenever a member spots a post that contradicts an earlier post, it is imperative that someone call them on it in attempt to verify whose post is correct.
