NBA FREEBIE: DETROIT Ben Wallace has obviously focused on playing ball when he’s on the floor if Tuesday’s game @ Chicago is any evidence. Against the Bulls #3 didn’t exactly strip the twine but he did what he does best, rebound. In 39 minutes of court time the big man cleaned the glass to the tune of 22 boards. He and the rest of the Pistons have now won 5 straight holding opponents to 78.4 PPG and 37.4% shooting. They have covered 4 straight and have won & covered 3 of the last 4 in the series at the Palace. After the Magic upset the Nets Tuesday T-Mac said he is on a mission to show the league he can do this by himself and so far it’s true but this Detroit team is one that can isolate one player and give him fits all night long. The win was only Orlando’s 2nd in the last 7 covering only 2 of their last 8.
