The Panthers like to run the ball first and will try to establish the run....The problem is their offensive line is not that good and they haven't played together very long. Last year the Packers were third in the NFC in rushing D and this year they should be as good or better. If the Packers stop the run, Delhomme will have to go to the air.....if they go to the air, he will have to throw quick b/c the Packers will be throwing a lot of blitzes at him. Sharper is a big play guy and I expect some turnovers from him this year with Roman helping him out.
Hawthorne may not be a great corner, but he does have experience against Delhomme, which should help. Carroll will also play in this game and I like what I saw from him in the last preseason game.

No question the Panther up front D is good, but when it comes to running the ball, the Packers aren't too bad either. All 3 running backs avg. 5 or more yards per carry last year....Packers have the entire offensive line back this year. I'm pretty confident they will find a way to run against the Carolina D. Also, there will be some shots down field to Ferguson, Walker, Driver and with Carolina's very inexperienced secondary I think there will be some open receivers and/or penalties.

The Packers have been good on MNF (7-1 since 2001), and this is just the first MNF for the Panthers in 4 years. I'm guessing they will be very amped up for this game, which isn't always a good thing for a young team. If the Packers get off to a good start, I'm not sure the Panthers have the offense to come back.
