  • Wednesday Baseball............

A very nice night going 4-2 on Tuesday for a profit of just under 10 units. I also survived the first flag football practice and might actually have a pretty good squad. I have 5 year old Rodney Hampton Jr. on my team, and the kid already has moves! These are my plays for today, just some small runline plays....

1 STAR: CINCINNATI (+1.5)(+$105) OVER Houston
    (Paul Wilson vs. Roy Oswalt)

1 STAR: Cleveland (+1.5)(-$125) OVER NEW YORK
    (CC Sabathia vs. Orlando Hernandez)

1 STAR: MONTREAL (+1.5)(+$115) OVER Chicago
    (Tony Armas vs. Kerry Wood)

    2004 MLB RECORD

    10 STAR RECORD 0-1 (-10.00 UNITS)
    5 STAR RECORD 36-29 (+26.58 UNITS)
    3 STAR RECORD 58-50 (+14.57 UNITS)
    2 STAR RECORD 130-130-1 (+18.9 UNITS)
    1 STAR RECORD 73-82-1 (+4.28 UN4ITS)

    OVERALL RECORD 297-291-2 (+54.33 UNITS)
    A $100 player would be up $5433.00

    Good luck,
    John

John-in addition to what Jeremy says, can't you sense there are some other go against teams right now like Phil., the Mets, Arizona obviously and teams to bet on (who are fighting for the playoffs and/or who are hot) like Atlanta, Florida, Cubs, Houston,Minn., Oakland, SF,etc?
As you know, I don't post picks, but this is usually the time of the season when it pays to use above philosophy-look to go against teams who don't care and play on hot teams and especially when a team fighting for something plays a team which has packed it in. jmho

        savage1,

I do agree, the Reds is more of a gut feeling play. I think it could be a 3-2, type game. Thats why it is only a small play.

You do want to bet the teams that have something to play for, but you want to find value in the lines when you can, like Minnesota and Atlanta yesterday.
        Good luck,
        John

John-no criticism ever of your picks, and you are one of the first I check every day.
As stated, sometimes you have to gut with your gut depending on circumstances and the point of the season.

I'm liking the over in the Hou/Cin game
and the under in the NYY/Cle game.

            Good luck today.
