Cashed in both 5 STAR plays yesterday, one in baseball and one in CFL, but Pre Season NFL continued to be ice cold. I'm going to pull the plug on the pre season plays, week four is never a good week to bet pre season anyway. Lets try to get the college season off to a good start today! I'm going to be gone most of the day, so good luck to everyone! These are my plays.......

2 STAR: VIRGINIA TECH (+17) OVER Usc
I like the Hokies getting the points in this game. The public has jumped all over the Trojans in this matchup as we have watched this line climb since the minute it was posted on the board. Everyone remembers how dominate USC was last year, as they finished the season with seven staight ****** and how bad Virginia Tech was to end the season failing to cover in the last five games. Those spread numbers always have a way of turning around and I think_ Tech gets the cover here. USC might be the best team in the nation this year, but they do have some concerns. They lost some key starting defensive players, one of their top running backs is suspended and both their starting and backup quarterbacks are nursing injuries. They do have the players to step in and fill these holes, but will they be that dominate right from the start? In Pete Carroll's first three seasons at USC, the Trojans have been a slow starting team each season (against the spread) only posting a 5-7 mark against the spread in their first four games of the season. Add in the hype of being #1 and you have no value here at all. when we look at the Hokies, they have some very big holes to fill. Kevin Jones their star running back is gone, Hall their top DB is gone, and Marcus Vick is suspended for the season. But Tech has a very good class of redshirted freshmen that can step in and plug some of these holes. They also have senior quarterback Randall returning to run their offense and I think he can keep them in the game. One of the trademarks of Tech is their special teams. We know how good they are at blocking kicks, and this could be a factor as USC graduated both of their snappers from last season. USC is only 3-15 against the spread as a non conference favorite of 12 or more points and Virginia Tech is 14-3 against the spread in the last 17 non conference games. I have to take the points in this one!
