Dodgers Kaz Ishii pitched well in his last start vs. the cubs but has been erratic over the season's 2nd half. He has allowed 30 ER over his last 42 IP for an ERA of 6.42. With the Dodgers' bullpen unsettled as well, back the Braves & starter Russ Ortiz in this one!

Marquis has had a tough time against Pittsburgh in two starts against them this year. He has a 7.36 ERA and .380 BAA in 11 IP. Overall, he's been good, but his ERA should be creeping higher as the season goes on, as he is not used to this kind of workload and also because his strand rate has been high. Once his strand rate returns to normal levels, it will result in more runs scored against him. Perez has been great, but St. Louis has been great against lefties.

OVER 7.5 ATL (ORTIZ)/LA (ISHII) -123 - 1 UNIT - 7:10pm Pacific
Oritz looked great against the Dodgers in his only start against them this year, but career-wise, the L.A. hitters have been good against him, so I think they will have a better showing in this game. Ishii was so ineffective that he got banished to the bullpen, but is now back in the rotation due to Penny's injury. He looked good in his last start, but for the year, he hasn't been very good. His command rate is terrible and he will put runners on base. Atlanta's hot lineup is sure to take advantage of that. They also do well against lefties, so Ishii shouldn't pose too much of a problem for them.

Estes and Benson are scheduled to start in the first NYM/Col game today. It's the matchup that was postponed last night due to rain. They're playing a doubleheader today.
