I don't post many baseball plays here---just my really good ideas (mostly because I don't consider baseball my strength). Almost all posts have been totals or dogs (although I haven't kept a YTD record). That having been said, I recommend a strong total tonight.
St. Louis has scored 27 runs in its last three games! Cincinnati's pitcher, Claussen, has been awful of late. He's given up 19 earned runs in his last 24 innings with a very high 17 walks in those 24 innings. Now he faces one of the best hitting teams in the game. St. Louis' pitcher, Morris, has been very inconsistent, alternating one good outing with one bad one. Admittedly, he's due for a good one tonmight as he was shelled last start, giving up eight runs last time out (only four were earned) and three starts back he didn't even make it out of the first inning. On top of that, Cincinnati has scored 29 runs in its last five games. So, you've got two teams scoring well, one rotten pitcher and one inconsistent pitcher. The only way this stays under is if Morris pitches a big game because I see the Cards getting at least seven themselves. Total has floated up to ten because everybody is on the over. In this case, I think the crowd is right. I suggest the over. Look for 13 runs, I think (I mean I hope).
