  • Friday Baseball, CFL and Pre-Season NFL.........

A nice day in baseball on Thursday, going 3-3 and cashing in the 5 STAR and 3 STAR plays to make a profit of 7.38 units. We got a real bad break in the CFL game as Toronto was up 10-4 at half time and then Toronto QB Damon Allen tore an ACL early in the third quarter. That put Michael Bishop into the game for the Argos, needless to say they never scored again. These are my plays for Friday.........

Good luck EZ, why do you like TB so much. I like Rogers at home, and was just curious. It looks to easy tonight with everyone on the forum liking the same teams. That usally means upsets. And it don't help being Friday the 13th.

Thanks guys, best of luck to everyone!

                      Chuck,

This is my take on Tampa/Texas. Texas has lost six out of their last seven games. They are not swinging the bats well at all right now. Kenny Rogers has an ERA of 4.60 and a WHIP of 1.43 on the season, but in his last three starts his ERA is 6.48 and his WHIP is 1.98 allowing 25 hits in 16 innings. Rob Bell has pitched very well in his last three starts, his ERA is 2.33 and his WHIP is 1.24 both lower than his season numbers. In those games the DRays are 2-1. On May the 3rd, Kenny Rogers shutout the Rays 9-0 as a -$165 favorite. We get some value in this line since it is almost the same price as the game in May, but Rogers is not pitching as well, the Rangers are not hitting as well, and the Rays have made some overall improvement in their play. The Rays have not had a lot of success against Rogers in the past, but I think they can break through today, they are 18-11 against Leftys this year with a team batting average of .280.
                      Good luck,
                      John
