3 Wise Men Report – Wednesday 8/11
3 Wise Men Report ….. High Flying St. Louis Studs Albert Pujols and Jim Edmonds both went yard and powered the Cards to a 2-1 victory last night . I know many of you were on them and their victory was sweet … especially for yours truly who bought back half the Card wager with a Run line play on The Marlins +1 ½ and getting the middle. ( Motor City Pimp calls it “ trapping the game “ and I think it’s a great expression ) Edmonds is one of my fantasy guys and the homer sure did come in handy in more ways than one.
On a disappointing note , Mark Prior ( another fantasy player of mine ) is just not right. Since coming off the DL which sidelined him for half the season , he’s been wild high with a pitch count off the charts. ( 89 pitches in 3.0 innings last night in a loss to The Padres ) My fear is that the injury is not quite healed 100% and at some point in time he’ll be on the shelf for the duration of the season. Only time will tell.
My partner Kmann is very optimistic about The 3 Wise Men’s MLB picks for the remainder of the year … his own “Kaptain Column “ is always steady and will really start to take off soon … in fact, he cleaned up with his side and total selections last night ; and our “silent” partner , Frank B ( aka “Frankie Totals” ) has been consistently rock solid with his under predictions … picking his spots carefully and with great deliberation.
We’re hoping we can help bankroll your fall and winter sports with our efforts.
