I really needed a big win and got it!

As for Detroit, that kid (Ledezma) pitched a helluva game against a decent Texas offense. Even Detroit's relief pitching was effective. Yan pitched 3 pretty good innings but gave up one long ball and takes the loss. Soriano (of Texas) got three of the five Ranger hits and he drove in one of the two Ranger runs.

The disgraceful Detroit offense had PLENTY of chances to score more than one lousy run. They left ten men on base and hit into two double plays. :angryfire

An unproductive offense is probably one of many reasons that the Tigers are in 4th place w/ a (50-58) record. So it is always a risk to bet on a team like that. However, what a great turn around the Tigers have made since last year!!

In retrospect, I still think Detroit was a GOOD bet today!
