Atlanta and Houston Under 9.5 -110

Both Hampton and Oliver are pitching very well, lately. Hampton has won his last three starts and the under has come in every time. Atlanta and Houston are both playing good baseball. Oliver has a 4.72 ERA over his last three and Hampton has a 2.70 ERA over his last three. Atlanta has gone under in four of their last six. Houston has gone under in three of their last four. Both bullpens are pitching very well

Prediction: over
Reason: The Expos and Cardinals will close out their three game series Thursday in St. Louis. The Expos will send starter John Patterson to the hill against Cardinals Chris Carpenter. Both pitchers have seen the over cash with regularity in their recent outings. The over is 3-0 in Patterson's last three starts overall and he holds a 7.24 ERA over that span. The over has come through in three of Cards starter Chris Carpenter's last four starts. The over is also 3-1 in his last four trips to the mound versus the Expos. I expect St. Louis to have their way with Patterson in this game and the Expos should get enough off of Carpenter to send this game over the total. Take the over.-

Seattle Mariners at Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Seattle has lost 9/10 and prepare for their 11th consecutive road game tonight in Tampa. The Mariners had a tough travel situation going from Anaheim to Baltimore on Monday and proceeded to go 0-3 the past two days at Camden Yards. Seattle is 1-21 in their last 22 road games. 1-21 is absolutely incredible! Tampa Bay is 8-4 recently in their last dozen home games as they prepare for their 10th straight game at Tropicana Field. Bobby Madritsch makes his debut today for Seattle and faces the Devil Rays, who are 11-4 at home against left-handed starters (17-9 anywhere). The M's are 7-32 against right-handed starters on the road in 2004. Tampa Bay is hitting .287 against lefty starters averaging 5.7 runs per game. That's amazing considering on the season the Devil Rays are only producing 4.4 runs a contest and batting .256 overall. This is the first meeting of the season between these two teams and note that Tampa Bay ended the 2003 campaign taking 4/5 with Seattle.
