Ok, this will be only the 5th play since the college basketball season ended and i am probably getting too excited for football, but i could not pass this one up.......i promised i would these would be sparse but lets try to make it 5-0 since coll.bask. ended..
10* San diego/Philadelphia over 8 (-130)---->As you guys know, i cannot ever put up trends or stats with these plays because admittedly, i do not know any..........but this i know, brett myers has been terrible all year, pitching a little better lately but this seems like a bad spot for him.........an even worse spot for brian lawrence and his 71 mph fast balls...........lawrence is coming off back-to-back big division games and he has not pitched nearly as well lately as his numbers show..........i think the phillies are going to bomb him, but assuming one of these teams gets 6 or7, ithink the opponent should be good for at least 2...........the phils bullpen is atrocious as well...........i assumed this total would be 9.5 and i guess petco park , or whatever it is, lowers the line to 8, probably 8.5 by game time
