A tack on run in the bottom of the eight ruins my runline play on Seattle. :angryfire These are my plays for tonight, quite a few......

3 STAR: SAN FRANCISCO (-$140) OVER Cincinnati
                (Dustin Hermanson vs. Cory Lidle)

Fading the struggling Reds who have dropped 10 out of their last 11 games. San Francisco has not been playing very well as of
late either, and their bullpen has really struggled, but the Reds bullpen is even worse. Reds starting pitcher Cory Lidle has
been roughed up in his last three starts with an ERA of 9.19 and a WHIP of 1.98 in those games. The Giants should get back on
track here, they have won 5 out of the last 6 meetings against the Reds at San Francisco.

2 STAR: OVER 9 (+$100) San Francisco vs. Cincinnati
                (Dustin Hermanson vs. Cory Lidle)

Two bad starters and two bad bull pens. Cincinnati is 35-20 OVER after a loss and San Francisco is 29-16 OVER after a loss.

2 STAR: TAMPA BAY (+1.5)(+$115) OVER BOSTON
                (Rob Bell vs. Curt Schilling)

Curt Schilling has an ERA of 5.31 in his last three starts and has allowed 12 earned runs in his last 20 innings. Boston is also only 3-7 as a road favorite of -175 or more this season. I'll take the run and a half here along with the extra payout.

2 STAR: New York (-1.5)(+$180) OVER OAKLAND
                (Jon Leiber vs. Mark Mulder)

Mark Mulder has been great this season posting a 14-3 record, but two of those losses were against the Yankees. He has
allowed 11 earned runs in 12 1/3 innings against New York this season and he is 3-5 with a 6.75 ERA lifetime against the
Yankees. Mulder also has not been quite as sharp in his last three starts, even though the A's have won two of those three
games, his ERA was over one full run higher than his season ERA in those games. The Yankees have clobbered left handed
starters, posting a record of 24-7 against the south paws and they are 9-3 when playing after a day off. I'm going for the
maximum value on this play by playing the run line. Only one of the Yankees last nine wins over Oakland has been by one run. I like the Bronx Bombers here!

2 STAR: DETROIT (-1.5)(+$180) OVER Texas
                (Nate Robertson vs. Kenny Rogers)

Texas has been a great surprise this season, but I think the slide has begun as they have lost 8 out of their last 11 games
and the great line value that you were getting with the Rangers earlier in the season is a thing of the past, especially with
all star Kenny Rogers on the mound. Rogers has been very hittable in his last three outings, allowing 27 hits in only 19 1/3
innings. The Tigers Nate Robertson is a solid 4-2 at home this season and in two career starts against the Rangers he has an
ERA of 2.49 and a WHIP of 0.96 so I think he will have a solid outing against a Texas team that is only hitting .248 on the
road. I'm going to go for the big payoff by playing the run line here. Texas has only played in 6 one run games in their last
                40 outings.

2 STAR: New York (-$129) OVER MILWAUKEE
                (Al Leiter vs. Chris Capuano)

The Mets have really dropped out of serious contention for a playoff spot over the last couple of weeks, but it has not been
because of Al Leiters performance. Over his last three starts, Leiter has an ERA of just 1.06 and an ERA of 1.18 and he has
had great success against the Brewers in his career, posting a lifetime record of 6-0 in 8 starts against Milwaukee with an
ERA of 3.27 and a WHIP of only 1.200 and his team's record is 8-0 in these games. The Brewers have won 2 out of 3 against the
Mets so far this season, but I look for the Mets to even it up here.

2 STAR: Atlanta (+$121) OVER HOUSTON
                (Russ Ortiz vs. Roger Clemens)

The Astros took 2 out of 3 at Atlanta earlier in the season, but since then these teams have gone in different directions.
Houston did manage to win 2 out of 3 in Cincinnati winning the rubber game on Sunday, but the Astros are only 6-14 in Game 1
of a series after when coming off of a win this season and the road team is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings between these clubs.
The Rocket is 0-2 lifetime against the Braves with an ERA of 5.85, Russ Ortiz is 5-2 lifetime with an ERA of 2.98 against
Houston and the Braves have won his last seven starts. The major difference between these two teams is that Atlanta finds a
way to win, while Houston finds a way to lose. I like Atlanta here.

2 STAR: MINNESOTA (+1.5)(-$155) OVER Anaheim
                (Carlos Silva vs. John Lackey)

This should be a close game. Both of these teams come in hot with the Angels winning 8 out of their last 11 games and the
Twins winning 10 out of their last 12 games. But I'm not sold on the Angels having really put it together yet. They are still
very banged up, and 5 of those 8 wins were against the Mariners. The Twins streak is very impressive, having swept the White Sox and winning the series 2 games to 1 against the Red Sox. John Lackey is 4-1 lifetime against the Twins, but I'll gladly
take the 1.5 runs here against the Angels that have won three straight one run games.

2 STAR: Pittsburgh (+$128) OVER LOS ANGELES
                (Oliver Perez vs. Brad Penny)

A lot of changes were made to the first place Dodgers right before the trade deadline, and I question what kind of chemistry
this team will have now. Brad Penny makes his Dodgers debut against the Pirates, but he is only 1-2 in his career against
Pittsburgh with an ERA of 4.66. He is opposed by the Pirates Oliver Perez. This kid has nasty stuff and is 2-1 in his career
against the Dodgers with an ERA of only 2.10 and the Dodgers are only averaging 3.7 runs against left handed starters this
season. The Pirates are also 11-3 as a road underdog of +100 to +125 this season and 11-5 on the road when the last three
seasons when the total is 7 or less. I like the Bucs here!
