If things stay as they are i will be throwing out my MLB "Game of the Year" today. Some will say it's a "Balsy" call but i'm letting it loose! Friday was the 1st miserable night in a long time on the basepaths, so for my own confidence and reasoning i will have a write up with each play today. I used to do it with every play (in my early days here) but now i do it once in awhile just to let you all know i'm still doing my homework.

I Really like a few games Saturday and i will give you all my reasons why but for now I need to sleep on it.

I know some might not like it but this is why i do.......................

Texas is (42-29) vs. Righties & (15-15) vs. Lefties

Barry Zito is (12-1) with a 2.58 ERA in 19 career starts against Texas.

More Importantly Oakland is (17-2) in games against Texas in which Zito has started....... (9-0) in Texas!

Zito has allowed only 18 Earned runs in his last 12 starts against Texas giving up 2 or less runs in 10 of those 12 starts.

Zito has gone at least 6 innings in 18 of his 19 starts against Texas.

Oakland averages 7.74 runs per game in Zito's 19 starts against Texas.

What makes this a "Balsy" call is that Drese has been "Rock Solid" @ Home this year and Zito has been off his game. Also it is a "Dog"!

Drese has not faced Oakland this year and if Texas had not come back last night this would not have been such a big play. Everything fell into place and i'm playing some pretty staggering numbers here. Some like to fade those kind of numbers but i'm not one of them! Play safe and only wager what you can afford to lose as nothing in gambling is guaranteed.
