    JULY: 16-6

    Arizona -130 over Colorado

Diamondbacks are 2-2 in their last four after long losing streak. Johnson should have won earlier last week in this match-up but the bullpen blew the lead. We think that Johnson will feel better now that the rumors are that he won't be traded. Jennings has an ERA of 7.64 at home this year. Johnson is 7-2 on the road this year. Rockies couldn't touch him last week and we think that he throws another gem tonight. Very low number with him on the mound.

          JULY: 15-7

          Complimentary Selections
          ----------------------------------
*Chicago/Detroit under 9.5 runs (Garland vs. Ledezma)

No Magglio Ordonez, no Frank Thomas, no Pudge. That’s a lot of offensive presence sitting this one out. Both teams struggled at the plate yesterday, and there’s no reason that that should not continue tonight. Combine that with the fact that home plate umpire, Brian Runge, is 12-4 under the total in games he has umped this season. Hitters are hitting just .226 in those games, a major advantage for the pitchers in this one. One unit on the under in this tilt.

ASAÕs FREE BASEBALL PICK FOR FRIDAY, JULY 30TH
Pittsburgh (Burnett) +110 over Milwaukee (Davis), 8:05 PM EST

The Brewer offense has been fading fast as they simply cannot put any runs on the board. In their last 10 games they have averaged just 2.5 runs per game. As a team, Milwaukee has hit BELOW .200 in five of those 10 games. Now comes the bad news for Brewer fans. They stink vs. left handed pitchers. As a team they hit only .235 vs. lefties and even worse at home where they come in at a .214 clip. Sean Burnett is on the hill for the Pirates and he has been extremely solid this season. His ERA is just 2.84 overall. On the road is drops to a miniscule 1.69. In his only start vs. Milwaukee this season, Burnett went six innings and gave up just two earned runs. Doug Davis starts for Milwaukee and while he has been solid for most of the year, he has struggled his last few outings. We knew this would happen eventually as Davis has been an average starter at best for his Major League career. It now looks like his early success this year is now catching up to him. In his l! ast three starts, Davis has given up 15 earned runs in 18.1 innings pitched. Now is the time to go against Davis before the oddsmakers catch up with him. Milwaukee is coming off a HUGE rivalry series with the Cubs and will have some trouble completely focusing on game one of this series. The Pirates have dominated the Brewers this year winning 8 of the 9 games the two teams have played. We donÕt see anything changing here. Take Pitt.
