  • D-Backs favored again?????

It's not as big a steal as Tuesday when Ariz/RJohnson were -165 against a quality team, the Giants. But the Diamondbacks, losers of13 in a row (!) are somehow -175 today against Colorado. Again, the value is on the Rockies.

How can you lay a monster number on a team that has lost 13 in a row??? This Arizona thing is almost like the reverse of my D-Rays experience earlier this year when a hot streaking team was undervalued game after game. Colorado's pitcher, Jennings is 6-6 for a bad team. His ERA is inflated because of Coors Field. He's not all that bad. Johnson is on the verge of insanity because of non-support in Ariizona and being lifted early. This game should be Ariz -120 at best. I'm not suggesting a big play or anything; I'm just amazed linemakers and the public keep betting Johnson like this is 2000 or 2001. For what it's worth I also like the Angels and, for the first time in a while a favorite---the Dodgers. Good luck.

      Great stats, BC!

If Johnson can get -175 with baseball's worst team since the 2002 Tigers, what number will they give him if he's traded to the Yankees later this week? -450??

Please, Arizona, don't trade Johnson. The ROI right now on going against Johnson each time he pitches must be off the charts.

Arizona, 14 in a row and counting.
