I couldn't lay -160 on a team that had won three games in a month if they had Bob Feller pitching and Walter Johnson and Cy Young in the bullpen.

Griswold-Don't forget that Big Al Mc"Moron" had Arizona as his GOY on Sunday with a pitcher with about 1/2 of Johnson's ability.

I'm not done yet. If you bet a -160 favorite three days in a row and win two of three you are up a grand total of $40 after risking $480.

That's why I can't bet big favorites. But to make the worst team in baseball---and the coldest----at that kind of number is nuts. I'm not saying the Giants are a great play but am saying the D-Backs are a terrible play. You simply have to win almost all the time if your laying -160. One other thing. Randy Johnson is fed up. He pitched a seven inning shutout last game, was lifted, and they blew the game.

I agree you have to be nuts to take Arizona even at a pick em right now LET ALONE -165!!! I believe in contrarian systems a whole bunch but only when it makes sense. I don't care if there's billions bet versus the D'Backs. It means nothing. How does that make the D'Backs play any better? Great Call

It didn't seem so great when the awful SF pen loaded the bases in the ninth.......but Arizona is just atrocious right now. Unfortunately, Johnson is likely to be traded soon so Arizona might not be favored again for a month.

Its amazing how fast that team has fallen! Things started to slide last year but the Richie Sexson trade DEBACLE accelerated things in a hurry this season. You're right, unless RJ pitches they won't be favored and after he's gone and Gonzo has his surgery, they may not hit 45 wins...
