Enough about services already

Why the heck do we get so wrapped up about these plays. The night before Arz almost beat the Dodgers, last inning pinch hit hr saved the game. Who gives a hoot? The service I use went 6-0 over the weekend. End of the day, we are all adults or we should not be in this forum. I thank those who are looking out for the new guys, however, the only way to get good at this is trial and error..........Two years ago a game of the year on the Patriot v Rams in the Super bowl was looked at as a horrible call...guess what, they sometimes win!!!!

Surely there is a big difference between taking 13 1/2 points with Pats(lots of services had them other than most from the West Coast) in a Superbowl and making a GOY pick on horrible Arizona out of all the thousands of picks which could have been selected for a GOY;the results speak for themselves

I disagree with you! I think its very important to keep newbies informed. I along with most others have used a service. It was a huge waste of money. I feel I have an obligation to pass the message on.

We can agree to disagree. I use a great service which makes me $. The point is, if you get a game, it is your responsability, period. No capper wins ever game. Anyone who plays a GOY and knows nothing about it, then they should not be playing it. We forget that this is a marathon and not a sprint, and I for one will continue to use services that make a profit...And lets face it, that is why we are all doing this........

Fats, I agree with this entire post. However, you do have to admit that most newbies come seeking the likes of Big Al for the quick fix or "easy' money. In more cases than not they will go away disappointed and in some cases ripped off.

gotta agree with fats. i have lurked for a while here and i see so much service bashing from people who DON'T even use services. so my conclusion is that it just pisses these people off that they get money for their opinions while they post here and don't get any money for their selections. this is america and everyone has a right to make money. i don't buy the crap that service bashers are here to help out the newbies. if everyone wants to be a moral hero here then try to help newbies stop gambling and tell them the evil paths gambling can lead to. forum posters are just free services. you guys still are responsible for people following you. there is nothing wrong with services. i don't use them but i do from time to time and for the most part they do do better than the average cappers because they put more time to it. i belong to so many forums and it seems over here there is the most service bashing. enough already. in a way everyone who posts is a service wanna be. people wanna be followed. they want to be the center of attention and they hate it when services rain on the parade and they get money for it. you have to be a sick human being to be jealous of another person trying to make a living. so its a case of more jealousy than anything else. i won't buy the story that everyone here is a martyr for a bunch of internet strangers. if you're such a caring person and a moral person then why are you wasting your times gambling and hanging out on forums when you can attend to your loved ones? lets not bull shit anyone here

big al is very good. he is very consistent. one of the better ones. i think he has a huge advantage that he is so well educated. he isnt just pure trash gambling away. this guy has his law degree and im sure he understands stats and trends better than the uneducated capper. he is to expensive though and rarely offers top free plays which is wrong

I think that you have underestimated the intentions of the BettorsChat members that have warned "newbies" about SOME services.
Obviously, there are good services out there that should be paid for their hard work. However, there are many services that don't work hard at all on the picks they release. These services really work hard at marketing, though! They will hype every game they can get their hands on and that is flat out wrong!
One marketing ploy that is common place with some of these dishonest services is that they try and get you to think that by purchasing their pick(s) you have no risk. They do this by telling you if the play(s) doesn't win then there is no need to worry because the next play will be free. What good is a free play that will probably lose also! The problem here is that you already lost twice:
a) you paid for the original pick and b) lost on the play.
The service WON when you paid for their hyped pick.
Honest handicappers do not use these ploys!
They do not guarantee picks!
They do not hype picks!
They let their picks do the talking for them!
As for the highly touted GOY that many scamdicappers pitch for sale; on any given day or night: NO ONE PLAY IS NECESSARILY STRONGER THAN ANY OTHER PLAY!
