                JULY: 8-3

San Francisco (+107) vs. Colorado (Rueter vs. Estes)

San Fran goes for win #5 in a row at Coors Field. They are really heating up. Two southpaws take the mound and San Fran actually hits better against left-handed starters. Shawn Estes has been awful this year. He's got a 6.85 ERA at home in the Rocky Mountain air and a 9.00 ERA over his last three starts. Barry Bonds and the rest of San Fran's hitters are going to have a field day. As I said yesterday with San Francisco as the pick, after Estes get's bombed, the Giants will get the horrible Colorado bullpen (6.72 ERA at home). Favorites at -110 or higher with a 38%-46% win percentage, coming off a loss to a division rival as a home favorite when facing an opponent with a winning record are just 17-33 over the last 5 seasons. San Francisco is 38-13 (+26.8 Units) against the money line vs. NL teams ! scoring 4.8 or more runs/game in the second half of the season over the last 3 seasons. Rueter is 9-1 (+10.6 Units) against the money line vs. NL teams scoring 4.8 or more runs/game in the second half of the season and 12-3 (+8.8 Units) against the money line when playing against a bad team (Win Pct. 38% to 46%) over the last 3 seasons. This game should be a high-scoring affair with the Giants coming out on top. San Francisco for a unit.

                  16-6 last 22

Ok, I am all over Pedro Martinez and the Red Sox tonight. He has been rock solid all year with a record of 9-3 with an era of around 4. The reason I love him tonight is because he got rocked his last start against Anaheim.

He gave up 7 earned in 5 innings in a 10-7 loss. He is seeking redemption tonight and he will get it. He has beaten Anaheim 4 of his last 6 overall and he will be on the money tonight.

Escobar is struggling. Just 1-5 his last 7 starts and the Angels have gone 1-7 his last 8 starts overall.

I want you to watch Pedro shut down the Angels and watch Escobar do what he does best, lose the the Red Sox. Getting Pedro at less than 160 anytime, anyplace, is value I can't pass up. I will gladly lay it and get a big Red Sox win.

                        JULY: 8-2

                        Pittsburgh +105 over Marlins

Pirates starter Benson is pitching deep into games and is 6-7 on the year with a 4.42 ERA. Marlins are hitting just .258 against right handers on the year. Burnett for the Marlins is 1-3 on the year with a 4.40 ERA. Pirates offense is starting to click with the Wilson's and J.Bay a five tool player. Pirates are 2-1 against the Marlins this year and are 6-3 over the last two against the fish. Pirates hitting .276 against right handers. Pirates at home and a small underdog are worth the play against a Marlin's team that has trouble scoring at times.

                          SGH

We're on a 71-38-2 run with our last 111 complimentary releases including a win with 10 of the last 12 releases after Oakland defeated Chicago on Thursday night.

For Friday take Cleveland to beat Seattle

The Indians are at their best when Cliff Lee is on the mound.

Lee is 9-1 with a 3.77 ERA and the Tribe is 13-5 this season when he starts including six straight wins when he has started.

Seattle has only won 4 of its last 20 and the team may be shaken by the dismissal of former All-Star John Olerud. Seattle in one of the few teams in baseball with a losing record at home so their home advantage is minimal.

Travis Blackley is 1-1 with a 7.59 ERA in his only two starts this season. Seattle has won three of four agaisnt the Indians this season but Lee did not start in any of those games.

The Indians let one get away last night but Friday night the Tribe won't just win, they'll pummel the M's.
