Lenny Green and Jimmy Hall in the outfield as well! I think Ceasar Tovar is the last Minnesota player to play all 9 positions in one game as well!! I still have hugh autographed posters of Rich Rollins......even some of the pitchers:
Jim Kaat
Camilo Pascual
Jack Kralic
Mudcat Grant
Gotta love those guys!!

Coverboy-thanks for that;it brings back many memories.
I may just go do a search for the roster of the REAL AL Champs that year-the RED SOX(Sorry Goldy),:D
Even though, the Sox have had some better years with better teams since 1967, that year was something special for me and probably the most exciting Sox season ever coming from almost last the year before to almost take it all with Yaz leading the way.
I will never forget listening on my transistor radio waiting for the second game of a doubleheader on the last game of the season to end, which resulted in a loss for the Tigers and giving the Sox the AL title(no divisions back then).
If Sox had lost, I believe there would have been a one game playoff with the Tigers to decide it all.
Also, I cannot forget the Sat. and Sunday games, when Sox defeated Goldy's Twinkies at Fenway, a team which they had struggled with all year.
Ah yes, I have very fond memories of that year!
to BOTH of you for the info.......I was picking off players from 60-69 in my little pea brain......man I remember a bunch now that you printed them.....TED UHLANDER......a hitting machine for the shortest of times!! Sandy Valdespino was the front runner clone to Al Newman!! Congrats to your Sox that year Savage.....I remember THE PLAYOFF game to get to the playoffs with the Twins having to win it and Kaat starting and we were in GREAT SHAPE UNTIL......He blows his arm in the 2nd inning and our pen could hold the win.......I was soooooooooooooooooooo bummed!! GREAT STUFF COVERB. THANKS!! Gv
