Cover, I'm with you with Thome!!! I'm sure he was embarrassed after not hitting a single HR last time he participated. It will at least be fun to root for the hometown guy!!

              Homer

I took a long look at Ortiz ... he's a banger with a great chance.

I don't think Sosa is dialed in yet this year and Giambi has sat & been banged up alot. Palmeiro too old, Blalock too young. That leaves Bonds,Ortiz, and Thome. I want Ortiz but i think he will be overswinging so that leaves Bonds and Thome. If Bonds is motivated i think he takes it...... If not then it's Thome.

By the way, i voted for Ortiz!

Jason Giambi OUT of the Home Run Derby, Virus. No replacement named.

Lance "No Chance" Berkman replaces Ken Griffey Jr.

                    Giambi replacement ...

                    is Miguel Tejada.

And if Blalock is too young to win a batting-practice HR Derby, I wonder how he felt winning the All-Star Game last season.

+800 at CRIS - those are great odds, as he should make the second round.

                      gotta pick the Cub, right?

Sammy hit a bomb last night in st. louis and is starting to look a bit better at the plate (even though he will always have his K's). Gotta go with him. Besides, if he uses the corked bat, that short porch in left in Houston doesn't stand a chance!
                      Good Luck!!

Great odds??? Not really, they are much better @Pinnacle and one HR in a game for Blalock doesn't compare to the derby. Go ahead and unload on Hank and let me know tomm. how much money you made!

                              Boring...

not only is this year's HR derby boring, but can espn drag this out any longer. I particular enjoyed the fact that balls hit to left field earlier in the contest were invisible due to the large window in left.
