Wells is on fire. Ovetr his last 27 innings he has given up just 5 earned and over his last 48 he has been touched for only 12 earned. His road era is a fantastic 1.77. Are you kidding me?

The D'backs just lost back to back games to Detroit on walk off home runs and have now lost 9 in a row overall. Until this team shows me they can play, I will roll with the team that has won 6 of their last 7 with a hot pitcher going as well.

Ride the Padres to stay hot and get another win as the D'backs find a way to lose another. This nightmare will not end for Arizona and they won't wake up from it Monday night as well.

Pads pitcher Wells maybe bring a number of things that are not conducive to a ballclub, but the one positive he always brings is his ability to pitch and retire batters consistently. Despite a subpar record, Wells has a 3.01 ERA and an excellent K/W ratio of just under 4/1.

Wells is 18-2 90% against the money line vs. teams outscored by opp by 0.5 or more runs/game on the season over the last 3 seasons. (Team's Record)

While these cuddly Snakes are 6-20 23% against the money line against left-handed starters this season.

Given the situation, Padres are the logical selection.
