  • Million $$$ Friday

Well that didn't take long. After a VERY short retirement, I'm back with an incredible new story and zeal.

Let me go ahead and post my MILLION $$$ Game first so you don't have to weed through my updates.

I last posted on June 10th and went out with a 4-0 sweep that day including a MILLION $$$ WINNER which brought my MILLION $$$ record to 24-11.

Let me see if I can get back in the saddle on the right footing...

    PHILLIES @ RED SOX:

If you've followed my games then you know I don't mind laying wood in the right situation. This is the right situation. Abbot has an ERA of over Six and is 1-4 on the road with an ERA of over eight.

Martinez is dominating at home this year and is 4-0. With the Sox at home off two straight losses and Pedro off a no decision loss, look for the Bean Crew to light up their bats, score a bunch of runs, and bounce back huge with their ace on the mound...

    *RED SOX -250
*RED SOX OVER 5.0 RUNS SCORED -160

These two are both MILLION $$$ releases. I still like both these plays as MILLION $$$ Games w/ACTION should there be a pitcher change.

If you're not comfortable with laying the 250, I will concede a rare run line play (-1.5 -135) since I think Boston is going to roll, but not as a MILLION $$$ Play.

Here are some other opinions. These are NOT Million $$$ Games...

    INDIANS -145
    BREWERS +175
    MARINERS -130
    OVER 9.0 -115 PHILLIES/RED SOX
    5 TEAM (ADD SOX -250) +2050

Good Luck, and I'll follow shortly with an update...

As you know nearly 3 weeks ago I announced retirement for the third time in my 25-year handicapping experience. Since then I have been reconciled with my wife and two wonderful children. I have to admit that it came out of the blue. It wasn't something I was looking for or expecting or even thinking about; but waking up to Alaya (my 2 1/2 year old daugher) is more joy than I can contain.

It never ceases to amaze me what the Lord can do when I turn my heart toward Him. He can orchestrate in a blink what I could not have orchestrated in a thousand years. Sometimes I think that's all He wants is to be first. Once that happens, He moves. Not only that but He gives the peace to do what we enjoy doing in complete freedom--as long as it remains second to Him.

Now that the household is full again, I will be taking a second job. Wanta' guess what that'll be? You bet! The 4th Annual Spread Report Online will happen. I will also re-start my Net Program. I'll cover a few changes for this year's Spread Report Online at the PROMOTIONAL FORUM here, but here's a recap of 2004, already one the most successful seasons EVER in my career...

-Correctly predicted BEFORE THE SEASON BEGAN that the Carolina Panthers would go the the Superbowl. This prediction is documented in last year's Issue #1 of the Spread Report Online.

-Correctly predicted BEFORE THE SEASON BEGAN that the New England Patriots would go the the Superbowl. This prediction is documented in last year's Issue #1 of the Spread Report Online.

-Correctly predicted BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS BEGAN that the Detriot Pistons would be the next NBA Champions as posted at my home forum.

-And Correctly predicted BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS BEGAN that the Tampa Bay Lightening would win the Stanley Cup.

-BASEBALL? Hey, I'm calling the REDS to win the World Series. You heard it hear first.

-Swept the board 7-0 on my NFL TEAM WINS OVER/UNDER FUTURES. These are documented in Issue #1 of last year's Spread Report Online and at my home forum.

-Jump started my NET WINNER PROGRAM on April 13th, 2004. This program has been in the making since I first announced its possibility 3 years ago. It is off to a Great Start with a record of 24-11 and +8.95 Net Games After Juice.

I wanna take the time to thank those at the forum for the emails of encouragement. I was surprised at how many were looking forward my NFL Preview Post (Futures). I'm starting to do my football home work next week. Thanks a mil...

        Sincerely,
        David K. Toop

              Warrior-great to have you back.
To change the subject, the Reds to win the World Series?
I will give you credit for you other predictions, but I really think you are WAY off here.
Please tell me what the Reds have that lead you to think they will win the WS.
WWTS has them at 22-1 to win it;personally I would put it at closer to 30 or 40 to 1.

Who else is going in the NL? The Red's pitching staff and batting crew has a good of a shot as anyone in the NL. I like their "look". This was my argument for the Pistons. I liked the Pistons to win the East based on 'defense'. But once they got there, I liked them to win the series based on intensity. I could not make a case for them, man for man, against L.A.; but I really liked their "look".

To me, their first playoff game said it all:

Lakers came out flat against Rockets nearly losing and winning by only two.

Pistons won by 28 or 30 (or something like that) and held defending East Champion Nets to 56 points. Pistons had that look. Lakers listened too much to critics and got big head, believing that no one, no one, anywhere on the planet could beat them in a 7-game set.

Lakers so disrespected the Pistons that some of them attended a Prince concert the night before Game One. When I heard this I released a MILLION $$$ PLAY on the Pistons +8 who went on to win by 12.

Reds have the look. They'll pick it up after the All-Star break. Believe me, I was told week in and week out last season how crazy I was that the lowly loser Panthers would go to the bowl. Same with the Pistons, and I suspect it will be the same with the Reds. But in the end, watch and see if the Reds don't represent the NL in the World Series. Whether or not they win (I think they will, but I thought Carolina would) is another story. I think they will face the Red Sox...

I believe every word u say...........In this day and age it seems there is no such thing as a sure thing and every year some odd team is popping out of the woodwork and winning it all

Sure all the good teams will be in the playoffs but its that odd team that seems to be winning it all lately be it Detroit, TB Lightning, Anaheim Angels, Marlins, Rams a few years back and on and on.

Sure its shocking that the Reds can win it all but wouldnt it have a great storyline 2 it with Griffey and all who has never played in the series while people concentrate on teams like Philly & Houston or Chicago in the playoffs..........As long as they can hang around the big 3 in the Central and hang tough long into the summer anything is possible

                  PEACE

Warrior-If you are picking my Red Sox to represent the AL, then forget what I said about the Reds, and and lets hope that your hot streak continues and that we get a repeat of the 1975 WS, but this time with SOX winning.
