    Well, sort of

They always say Baseball is the easiest game to beat. They're lying. It's the hardest. Just check out the sports monitors. Even the top cappers are barely above water ovver the course of a season (when you look at money won as in baseball won-loss records are irrelevant). But the Tampa Bay phenomenon I keep writing about IS easy. Since Friday the 11th I have played only one baseball game on the board per night and it has been Tampa each time. No, I didn't know they'd win a zillion in a row but I was smart enough to play a very hot team that almost always was listed as an underdog, often against truly wretched teams (like tonight against awful Toronto and more awful Hentgen). i keep increasing the bets but I'm sure not moving the line because they're still dogs every night and will be again on Wednesday. This has been the easiest run of my many years of gambling and for the life of me I can't understand why people keep laying favorites money against a team that has lost about four games in the past month.

Griz, I'll do you a favor and stay away from TB...of the 8-10 times I have bet on or against them this year, I have lost all but 1. I keep wanting to jump on this streak but I know it will end as soon as I do. I was just joking to my wife that I have the power to stop that streak as soon as I want, but being from Tampa - I'll let them keep going....

            Don't worry drugstunt

If I haven't killed the streak, nothing can.

I DON't think TB will win tomorrow. Their bullpen was used heavily tonite (Tuesday). But the value is there. I just got the Rays at +160 when they should be +115 at most. Everyhting is going their way and Piniella is managing brilliantly---having the guts to pull a starter in the first inning because he was wild, switching closers in the Arizona series, the kind of bold managing you just don't see. Halladay is going real good right now but at underdog odds like this you can afford to lose a couple without being hurt because the wins are coming at fat prices. Keep the faith. Your D-Rays are the reverse of the 03 football Bucs, playing above all expectations. Good luck on whatever you do.
