MLB Action
Atlanta Braves @ Florida Marlins
Tuesday, June 22, 2004
Atlantas Jarrett Wright and Floridas Carl Povano will go to the hill to face each other in tonights Pro Player stadium showdown between these two National League East rivals. Wright the Braves starter is 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA over his past five starts and has posted a very stingy 1.74 ERA in nine starts under the lights this year. Pavano the Marlins starter has won four straight and the right hander has had 10 straight quality starts, lasting seven or more innings in each appearance. Pavano has a miniscule ERA of 0.71 in his last three starts.Bottom line: With two more than capable pitchers (who are currently in good form) pitching against two struggling offenses the UNDER looks to be a very viable wagering option.Note:The Braves are hitting at a lowly .214 clip vs rightys over their L10 contests. Play on the UNDER

Ross Benjamin's Tuesday MLB Comp 6/22/2004
Colorado(Jennings) @ Milwaukee(D.Davis) 8:05 EST 6/22/2004
Play On: Milwaukee -145
In 4 road games versus LHP in 2004 Colorado is hitting only .164 and averaging just 2.8 RPG. The Rockies are 4-11 in game 1 of a series off a loss in 2004, are 8-25 away in 2004, have lost 7 straight away, and are 2-15 in their last 17 road games. The Brewers are a very good 18-11 at home versus RHP in 2004 and are 11-2 in game 1 of a series after a loss in 2004. Play on Milwaukee as my comp selection for Tuesday.

I know Mel Stewart service is expensive, I split his Football last year with a few of my buddies. What a season he had. A few days ago Vinnie on this site posted Atlanta from Mel for what I thought was a service release. Hey Vinnie are you there? Let me know before I buy today. I am leaving at 4 O'clock today for a short trip hope you post by then. Thanks.

IMPACT SPORTS
Atlanta @Florida 7:05pm EST
Play On: UNDER
Braves starter Wright has been 'right' over his last several starts lowering his ERA to an excellent 3.15 on the season. Fish thrower Pavano may be baseball best currently with 2.81 ERA and has been unworldly in his last three starts with an ERA of 0.71, while allowing 13 hits in almost 26 innings of work. Did we mention K/W ratio? Does 18-2 sound like a pitcher that is locked in?
For no extra charge here are useful trends as well....
ATLANTA is 24-8 UNDER 75% in road games with an on base percentage of .340 or worse over a 15 game span over the last 3 seasons.
FLORIDA is 8-2 UNDER 80% after a loss by 2 runs or less this season.
PAVANO is 22-10 UNDER 68.7% as a favorite of -110 or higher over the last 3 seasons. (Team's Record)
