  • Monday B-Ball :

First off I have dwelled deeply into these this morning and heres what my eyes see :

    Over Game :

    Pitt. ( J Fogg - R ) 1-4 Road-wise / 13.5 Men Per (On Base) / 7.16 ERA / Goes 5 to 6 inn. per / Team 13-12 vs. Righties on Road .

    Astros ( T Redding - R ) 1-3 Home-wise / 17.3 Men Per ( On Base ) / 5.28 ERA / Goes 5 to 6 inn. per / Team 14-11 vs. Righties @ Home

Outlook : After figuring in the Bull-Pens which should see 4 to 6 innings here (overall) and they are not world burners on either club , and knowing that both pitchers should get a fair amount runs pegged on them ( 5.1 per / 4.8 per ) the Over 9 looks very attractive here . *** Forecast = 13 Runs with over 30 men reaching 1st.

    Showdown Game :

    L.A. ( O. Perez - L ) 2-1 Road-wise / 9.4 Men Per ( On Base ) / .205 ERA / Goes 7 to 8 inn. per / Team 5-6 vs. Lefties on Road /

    S.F. ( K Rueter - L ) 1-4 Home-wise / 16.4 Men Per ( On Base ) / 5.26 ERA / Goes 6 inn. per / Team 10-1 vs. Lefties @ Home

Outlook : Tough-one here , but I feel L.A. should prevail on the games merits alone . But Frisco`s hard on Lefties @ home . These two pitchers should cover about 13 to 14 innings in this game , leaving only 5 to 4 innings left for the mids-bull to work with . L.A. has that covered very well , while S.F. is lacking there and Rueter allows 306 BA & the Pen .275 BA . Going against the record here and taking the Dodgers in a close one ( - 120 ) *** & Over 8 ** because of Pac-Bell & Umps !

    Classic Game :

    Clev. ( C Sabathia - L ) 2-1 Road-wise / 10.8 Men Per / .205 ERA / Goes 6 to 7 inn. per / Team 2-9 vs. Lefties on Road

    Chicago W.S. ( S. Schoeneweis - L ) 2-2 Home-wise / 17.6 Men Per / 5.26 ERA / Goes 6 inn. per / Team 4-4 vs Lefties @ Home

Outlook : Bull-Pens will come to play a great deal in this outcome , 12 to 13 innings then the mids & pen get the rest . Clev. Bulls allow .275 BA & 5.31 ERA while we know that the W.S. have little in the tank there also . DH`s figure in this one also , and I favor the Sox * & Over 9 ***

    Parlay : Over 9 (Pitt/Stros) / Over 9 (Clev./W.S.) / L.A. - 120

    All Totals = Over 45 ( Every Game )

    P.S. - Favor S.D. over Ari. also + over 8 ( Fossum gets Rocked )

    G.L.

KMann-and at least one run will be scored unless it is rained out.
Thererfore, if the over under is zero, I in my infinite wisdom am going to play over.:D

                Thanks :

letswin , EZ , kmann , Homer ...... Lets see if they pull hard enough ?

savage 1 , I left out that game on purpose because I see nothing that tickled the crystal-ball . Can say that 23 to 30 men will reach base and both pitchers will go about 12 innings combined (leaving alot of pen-work) Harden @ 3.82 ERA on the road is fair and Lackey @ 3.27 ERA @ home is very decent .

Oakland does a 11-14 vs Righties on the highway and the Angels stand @ 14-10 vs Righties @ home . Oak- 4.8 Runs per vs Angels-4.5 Runs per is very close to the vest total wise (9)

Gun to my head would look like Oakland & Under (unless the A`s put in Arthur Rhodes , at any point !) But I hope the manager has figured out hes not the answer ?

I love your educated responses. I been waiting to pull the trigger on A's and under. Rich Harden folks, is one hell of a pitcher. You have to remember he is very young. The A's made him their big addition to their staff last year, calling him up rather then dealing for a pitcher. Zach Greinke reminds me alot of him. Those 2 in the near future, should be the 2 main canidates for CY Young.

Rich Harden has ++ everything. His inexperience reflects his record. While Lackey is on the decline. And all though its very early. The A's know this series is very important.

Im with you on the A's and under. I see a tight divison game. As these 2 all season will be going back and forth for the AL West, Under is going to be a nice play for me. Im a big A's fan, mostly with their pitching staff. With Zito on the decline, this is Harden's chance to prove that if Barry leaves via free agency, falling back on Harden may not be a bad thing
