The losing stops here. I HOPE I can pick up at least 1 win. At 1 win I may be satisfied today. I have a 3 unit play, the system calls for a 6 unit play, but with all this losing I have been doing, and today being the end of the week, I dont wanna get it all back, but just get some back. Id like to thank you all for your nice words, and I was all over the A's yesterday, another win that lost in the 9th.

At the very least if I keep losing, you all can just fade me, I could become useful for something.

Kansas City Royals (+390) at Philadelphia Phillies
33 Year old career journeyman Brian Powell, will make his 2nd start today in a injury plagued pitching staff for the Phillies. Im going to go ahead and take a nice barking dog today for a 3 unit play. While in recent years, and earlier this year, the Phillies could kill Lefthanders, but this has all changed. Theier Avg. is now .254 vs. Lefties. The Royals, which are 3-2 on their current road trip, are 3-1 vs. Righties. While D. Reyes is nothing to smile about, I will give him the advantage here. With the Phillies only hitting .230 at home against Lefties, it seems any lefty should do the trick.

Baltimore Orioles at Colorado Rockies (-130), Under 13 Even
Talk about a team who is on the decline, and you must mention the Orioles. 1-9 L10. This team also struggles against the Lefty. but why, I don’t know. The Orioles have not score more then 6 runs in their last 10 games. But Cabrera in his last 2 starts allowed only a total of 8 runs, 3 and 5 respectively. Couple that with the inabilty to score runs for Cabrera, 0 and 1 respectively his L2 starts, add in a left in Kennedy, and I will try the Rockies and hope the game falls around 9-12 runs total.


Toronto Blue Jays (+140) at San Diego Padres
Miguel Batista, is not a bad pitcher. His L3 starts he has been stingy. a 1.96 ERA and a WHIP of 1.04. This play is a true chance. Can anyone out there name the starting 9 for the BlueJays? Half of their regular starters are on the DL. But baseball all depends on the pitcher. I’m going to go ahead and ride the hot pitcher in a pitchers ballpark. Let’s see if Batista can do his thing and the BlueJays can scrape up a couple runs.


Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Arizona Diamondbacks (Under 10)
A gift of a number I recieved. What is with teams not being able to hit Lefties? Arizona is another one. The D-backs only hitting .241 against them, and .250 their L10 against them. Under is 4-0-1 in Hendrickson's last five starts. Upon looking at some trends and stats, the D-Backs seem to go over alot. But....Look at the L3 starts for Webb and Hendrickson

Webb 16IP, 15 hits, 1.75 WHIP, 2.81 ERA
Hendrickson 21.2IP, 19 Hits, 1.25 WHIP, 1.66 ERA.

The L10 starts the D Backs are hitting .238 against Lefties. The Devil Rays have been torching the scoreboard, but, in their L10 games, IMO they have faced 3 good pitchers. Jason Schimdt, The Big Unit, and Brian Lawrence, scoring a total of 15 runs, an average of 5 runs a game. With the inability for the D-Backs to hit lefties, a 5-0 final is not that unlikely.

Got my 1st win under my belt, but lost Units again. 3-2, which SHOULD have been 4-1. Blowing Saves is unacceptable. Im startin to feel it again. The higher wager games killed me, losing 4 units it itself. I had an ok earlier of the week before coming here and lost 3.10 total units this week. The -8.05 stays since that is what is here on paper.

Hey Frank,
I have a 1957 Ben Franklin Half Dollar which I have mentioned before and which I use when I need a big winner.
It hits about 75%;I don't want to use it too often for fear it might lose its magical powers.
Anyways, perhaps some time in the future you and I can have a$.50 challenge, one game(the same game) for 10 days winner takes all (another $.50 piece than the one I use, and if I win you don't have to give me your magical coin either).
Of course Bettorschat will have to establish some strict rules to be sure that the winner really gets paid;we certtainly don't want anothe fiasco likemthe Ty Gason/East Coast one.:D

As always Bettorschat will have to give the OK, from what i have read and saw, this forum doesnt need another major contraversy. Although people may be skeptic due to the amount of money being staked. .50 is a little rich for my blood. You may have to wait a week so i can some money from partners.
