Thursday's Plays
Cubs Rusch +1.70 for 5 units; The Astros are just 4-9 when Oswalt takes the hill. The word out of Houston is that Oswalt has been pitching since spring training with a strained rib muscle and that he received a cortisone shot Monday. That might explain his poor showing his last start on June 12. He allowed 9 hits and 6 earned runs in a 7-4 loss to Milwaukee. The right hander currently ranks dead last in pitcher money standings having dropped over 13 units. The Cubs are 3-3 with Rusch pitching and are currently on a 5 game winning streak outscoring their opponents 31 to 15.
Seattle-Brewers under 8 for 5 units; The Brewers pitching staff ranks 7th in the league in ERA at 3.92. Seattle has been involved in 6 shutouts in their last 8 games.
Yankees-DBacks over 10 1/2 for 3 units; Two very hittable pitchers are throwing in Lieber and Sparks.
Orioles-Dodgers under 7 1/2 for 3 units;
Will be back in this same thread tomorrow. Lets get a couple of winners for Thursday.
