Schilling reportedly has been pitching through pain in his right ankle with the aid of injections over the past couple of weeks. He was hit in the ankle by a line drive in a game against the Devil Rays on April 28, but it is not known if that incedent is the cause for his current discomfort. Schilling is expected to have an MRI on the ankle after he makes his next start today, and a trip to the disabled list is possible depending upon the results of that test, he has only pitched past the 7th inning just once in his last 6 starts.
