  • Wednesday Baseball and Canadian Football........

Should have stayed away from the totals last night. Went 4-5 overall for a loss of 5.1 units on the diamond, losing all three totals. These are my plays for Wednesday......

    MLB

2 STAR: FLORIDA (-$135) OVER Chicago
    (Carl Pavano vs. Scott Schoeneweis)

2 STAR: Anaheim (-$125) OVER PITTSBURGH
    (John Lackey vs. Josh Fogg)

2 STAR: Cleveland (-$125) OVER NEW YORK
    (C.C. Sabathia vs. Matt Ginter)

    2004 MLB RECORD

    5 STAR RECORD 12-10 (+1.45 UNITS)
    3 STAR RECORD 28-27 (-6.58 UNITS)
    2 STAR RECORD 69-62-1 (+18.62 UNITS)
    1 STAR RECORD 43-40 (+12.80 UNITS)

    OVERALL RECORD 152-139-1 (+26.29 UNITS)
    A $100 player would be up $2629.00

    CFL

2 STAR: OVER 55.5 OTTAWA VS. WINNIPEG

    CFL RECORD 0-1 (-1.1 UNITS)

FWIW-Like the plays except Cleveland. I just can't see a 9-17 road team being favored even if they have a pretty good pitcher going.

ps That being said, the game will probably win because in most cases when I disagree with you, YOU are right.:D

        Hi John,

With all due respect, can I question your numbers? I have been following for over a month now, during which time you are about 50-50 on W/L and down about 10 units overall. Were you REALLY up 40 or so units in just the first FIVE weeks of the season?? Do you have your historical picks somewhere that I could see? I checked ********* but couldn't find anything under your name.

I appreciate the fact that you post picks for free but I am getting
skeptical. Last night is an example - you lost four 2 unit picks plus another 2.5 or so on Tex. You made up 2 units each on Minn and Ana and one unit each on Atl and SF. I think that's -10.5 + 6 = -4.5 for the night. You claim a loss of 2.5. I mentioned another time you made a math error like this a few weeks back but I don't think you adjusted your totals. Heck, if you "shave" a unit or two off your losses every week like this you could really be about even for the year and not up 30. Honestly, and I'm not trying to be an ass, but is this all on the up and up?

        Thanks
        Tom

          Denver:

I don't know why John would answer the garbage you are claiming. Please look at the odds of each game John played and you will see it is accurate and alwasy has been. If you don't understand, you shouldn't bet!!!

As you can see John made an honest mistake and corrected it. If you don't like his picks don't follow him but to question him is ridiculous!

              2* tex -125 L -2.5
              2* min -120 W 2
              2* min/mon <7 L -2
              2* ana -120 W 2
              2* oak/stl <9 L -2
              2* az +115 L -2
              2* az/nyy > 10.5 L -2
              1* atl -175 W 1
              1* sf -190 W 1
              ======
              -4.5

I certainly apologize if I did this wrong but I get a loss of 4.5 yesterday not 2.5. Like I said this has happened before so I am simply asking the question...

Actually he is right. It was a loss of 5.1 units for the day. The record has been edited to reflect the change. I have had a lot on my plate the last few weeks and have been making some errors. But those errors are always pointed out and corrected. And you are also correct that for the last month I am about 50/50, been treading water at about +30 units for a while now. Its up to you who you want to follow, but this is not a get rich quick thing and you have to be patient, it will come.

My ********* profile is EZWinners.com - though the baseball record there for this season will reflect some plays that were not posted.

Also, if you are skeptical of someones record, I really would suggest that you do not follow them.

                Good luck!
                Good luck,
                John

                  Good Luck John.

I would like to add. John Dollar for Dollar on this site your in the top two for class and a all around great person.

He does this for free and if he makes a error thats the way it is. Give me a break he's only human, has family with kids and o by the way he also just moved to. So let me look he does have a lot on his plate.

John, I just want to say thanks for everything you do on this site and you have to be one of the most honest people I have ever run across.

GL buddy and you will be rolling before you know it.

You are new here and it is understandable that you are skeptical.
John (EZ Winners) is first class all the way! What you pointed out was just an honest mistake.

Check out this link for a history of John's (EZ Winners) picks:
