I realize that I've asked you this a few times, but just curious if you've seen blazer's NBA selections anywhere lately. he just disappeared somewhat from the lists after the first/early second round of the playoffs. any word? always apperciative of your contributions 'round here.

                            Vegas Sports Authority
                            Lakers - 4 Star
                            Lakers Over - 3 Star

It's funny how the media, and perhaps also the public, can change their perspective of a series after one game. After Game 2, it seemed like all you heard was the Lakers were back in command, the Pistons would be so brokenhearted that Game 3 would be a wipeout. Now, after the 20-point Piston victory in Game 3, the exact opposite is being written and talked about: the Lakers are the dead ones.

For the Lakers to assure a victory in Game 4, someone besides Shaq & Kobe need to step forward on the offensive front. The dynamic duo combined for 59 & 62 points in the first two games but only 25 in the debacle at Auburn Hills. Karl Malone is a shadow of his former self, his playing time decreasing in each game, hitting a low of 18 minutes at Auburn Hills. His scoring has been nonconsequential, 4, 9, & 5 points. Gary Payton, the other fading Laker superstar, has also been a noncontributing factor, totaling only 11 points and 13 assists in the three Finals games.

Regardless of all of this, I am taking the Lakers in Game 4. As evidenced in Game 2, it only takes two superstars to pull out a victory. The Lakers were humiliated in Game 3. The Pistons will have a natural letdown after a 20-point victory. As I said in my write-up for Game 3, the Pistons will be very motivated due to the nature of the loss in Game 2. The same is true for LA in Game 4.

To a lesser degree, I also like the total to go over 167. Detroit seemed to want to run more in Game 3 than at LA. In the one half of Game 2 that LA has looked like a champion, they scored 53 points in the second half, 45 for Detroit. With the belief that LA will really be "on" this game, I believe the odds are greater to see a game such as this as compared to the last game. The Lakers need to shoot over 40% for this to happen. Unless the Lakers achieve the defensive intensity they had in the last four playoff games against San Antonio, where they cumulatively held the Spurs below 40% shooting, Detroit should be able to score 80-85 points. Couple that with a Lakers' offensive resurgence and I see the Over being a worthy wager.

Teaser: Don’t even think about making a play on Sunday’s NBA Game Four playoff game until you learn of the amazing awesome angle inside the game that is 14-0 ATS in post season play since 1990! Marc Lawrence has it, and you can too, on a pay only after you win basis… get it now!
                                Retail Cost: $35

                                Selection: Play On: LA Lakers
Note: NBA road dogs off a playoff loss of 20 > points in which they scored < 90 points are 22-5 ATS if they scored 90 > points in the game before the loss provided they either lost or won that previous game by 8 < points. If their ATS spread margin in the last game was worse than -17 or more points they are 14-0 ATS in this role.
