    ??

I'm sorry for being such a rookie--but I'm not quite certain how to use this Dunkel Index

For instance--first play--Cards have a higher Dunkel Index rating (are they a 1.5 favorite over the Cubs?), yet the Cubs are the starred play. Are the stars yours or are they contrarion plays?

Even though Clement is a superior pitcher to Williams, the Cubs have lost their closer for a while which tends for me to give the nod to Cards.

Yet I haven't noticed that the plays were starred last week when I found this Index for the first time. Is this something new?

      Mea Culpa

      Sheesh!!

I have days when I am so DAMN DUMB!!

Sorry Coverboy--If I had READ THE WHOLE POST FIRST--I would have seen that the stars denote the HomeTeam--d-uh

Reminds me of when I took a 40 question multiple choice in High school honors and the instructions under the name line were to
place your name on the top and turn paper into teach--but few read the instructions and were trying to answer questions that had no relevance to course material but hadn't gone to the trouble of reading instructions--usually I don't do that--so I apologize for asking stupid questions--then again--if you don't ask--you don't learn

Hi Tish - The asterisks indicate the home teams and are not necessarily the projected winners.
Also Dunkel has not been proven to handicap totals.
I'm one of "The 3 Wise Men" and each day we submit a report with our selections. We use Dunkel as an indicator along with many others .... For now I would not think into This Index too much.
Feel free to read our post when it's out later this afternoon.
We're not a service . We do this to contribute to our friends here in Bettors' Chat.

        Good Luck , - Coverboy

Haven't used Dunkels in a while...

I used to look at it on a very regular basis.

Can you tell me how it's been tracking so far this season?

          Thanks

Dunkel Index itself/outright, at face value, without the k-factoring is as follows for the period May31, THROUGH June 6...

                1/2 run....15-24
                1 run.....10-7
                1 1/2 runs..6-11
                2 & over....9-11
                Composite...40-53-2

Thats actually at face value...2 ties, e g, pick a team to win by 1, they do, results in a push to their method of picking..

They generally, at years end, at face value, are about 53-55%....
Hope this helps...I can start showing this as they produce weekly results, if you so desire....kmann...1 of 3
