I am no longer going to bet on a team who doesn't have a reliable closer, I was fuckin burned all week by shitty fuckin closers blowing games in the 9th inning, i hit my boiling point yesterday after watching Cincy give up 2 runs in the top of the 9th and Montreal turn around and give up 3 with two friggin outs in the bottom of the 9th to fuck my under and side play on montreal, and then the night is capped off with Billy COCK giving up 3 in the bottom of the 9th to fuck my under and side play, I base a lot of my betting decisions on the starting pitchers but from here on out if a team doesn't have a bullpen that's worth a shit I am either fading them or staying the hell away from them......sorry about my rants but needed to get this shit off my chest to some people who can relate

I also had Montreal under. Also got backdoored on Arizona/ L.A. under friday night.

thanks homer, i was on the wrong side of that arizona game on friday night myself, baseball has not been good to me at all, I came into the season a little over confident and cocky from the good year i had on college & pro football and basketball, it sucks when you have the game handicapped perfectly and some shit closer comes in and blows it for you, i know it will eventually turn around.....good luck on your plays as well, i use them from time to time and have had good luck with them

Yeah I lost most of those with ya.. Had a three team parlay last night that paid 4.5 to 1 with the Whitesox my last play and they blow the game in he ninth. Why didn't he leave the Japanese pitcher in there he was just mowing them down...FUCK the Whitesox and that dumbass Guillen....Nice coaching...

Fairly new to posting but lurk a lot

I had same thing--That starting ace would take us (the Cleveland Indians in my case) far into the game and then the bullpen would serve it gift wrapped up on a platter to the opposition.

Did some research on bullpen stats--found that even the stat sites that keep bullpen stats separately from the overall pitching stats are not current. When I checked the Bullpen stats at a nameless site (that was a series of stars til I changed it--starts with a cee) and Usatoday--found that they keep guys who have been sent down (AND their stats) for a full 15 days--and when they come off the bullpen roster (sent down, traded, shot by an irate sports fan), their stats continue to counted in the overall bullpen stats (but not the 'available bullpen' stats). So who has good numbers that ARE CURRENT?

I had the White Sox and the over 7.5, so I was looking at a split anyway before Koch's meltdown. Nevertheless, my heart went out to anyone on the Sox or the under.

That game reminded me very much of a Sunday Night game two years ago between the Cardinals and Cubs. I had the Cubs, who were substantial road dogs, as the last leg of a four team parlay that would have paid me $1,100. The three other plays in the parlay had all won. The Cubs dominated the game and entered the bottom of the ninth leading by five runs. Antonio Alfonseca came in and gave up 6 runs, losing the game and blowing my parlay. Needless to say, sleep didn't come easily that night.
