The Oakland A’s (Mulder) -1.5 +120 to win vs Cincinnati Reds (Lidle)
-(10:05 PM ET)
The Oakland A’s enter into this game against the Reds with a red hot 10-1 record in their last 11 home contests. Add to that todays starter for the A’s Mulder has lead his team to victory in his L5 trips to the hill. Mulder is also 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA lifetime vs. the Reds . While the Reds starter today(former A) Lidle is 1-1 with a 5.54 ERA lifetime vs. the A’s in his career. The Reds are 4-7 versus the AL over the last two seasons, and the last time they faced Oakland, they were swept in three straight games by a total score of 20-7 during that series debacle. Note: Despite the Reds winning record this season they are only batting .243 and have a team pitching ERA of 4.36.Play on Mulder and the A’s
sorry so late , just got back from out of the country.
SAN FRANCISCO (Tomko) +115 over COLORADO (Estes)
The Giants drubbed the hapless Rockies for 16 runs yesterday,
and we look for more of the same against Shawn Estes, as the
visitor looks to improve on that 12-6 (+$660) record vs. lefties.
Colorado's record vs. righthanders now stands at a dismal 13-30
(-$1305), including a 7-13 mark at Coors Field where they've been
surprisingly ineffective in 2004. SF is surging towards first place in
the NL west, and the've got a trip to Tampa Bay on deck, while the
Rockies get on a plane to Yankees Stadium after this game. Bad
news for Colorado every way you look at it.

4.5 Units on Texas Rangers -128 (Wells - R, Dickey - R
I was very impressed with the way Texas played on their recent road trip. The Rangers lost two of three to the Yankees but both by a single run. Those two one-run defeats were their only setbacks in their last six games. Now they return home where the Rangers are 16-9 this year. They also have confidence after sweeping Pittsburgh in the Steel City back in 2002. The Pirates are in a horrendous slump losing seven of their last eight and amazingly scoring 14 runs in those eight games (three or less in all of them). R.A. Dickey is obviously not in the same class as Maddux or Zambrano (last two to beat Bucs). However Dickey won at Cleveland last week and beat Jake Westbrook. Kip Wells hasn’t made a road start since May 16th and has recently been plagued by lack of control issuing nine walks in his last two outings. I’ll take Texas here as Wells has a road ERA of 5.00 and a WHIP of 1.741. Plus he’s been bothered by a finger injury which is probably the reason for the lack of accuracy of late. The Pirates are 8-16 in Inter-league play the past two years and aren’t accustomed to playing in Arlington plus have never faced Dickey. Texas has faced Wells three times since the 2000 season.
