  • Wednesday - Early Card - Updated throughout the day!

    +$940 yesterday after going 5-1 in baseball.

    Not too fond of this afternoon card, so going small just to get some action for the afternoon.

    Here we go:

    Houston -120 (100) Seems like a trap to me. Tony Vegas might be right, but I can't take the Cubs in this one.

    Florida -150 (300) Dontrell will right the ship today and slow down the RED hot REDS.

    Col./S.D. under 9 (200) They somehow pulled it out last night by going scoreless for 5 innings and winning the under by 1, so I'm going to take it again today, and look for a 4-2 final.

    Cleveland -135 (200) Dickey has struggled as of late, and Cleveland has been hitting the ball well.

    Cleveland/Texas over 10 (200) Two good offensive teams should produce today.

    Oak./CWS under 8 (200) This will be another close one, looking for a 3-2 final.

    Again, this isn't a great afternoon card, there will be better plays this evening, but like all gamblers, I need the afternoon fix. So, I am going small on everything, and will enjoy the games.

    GL TO EVERYONE TODAY!!!!!!!! Even you Ty!!!

    ~~~ Mike ~~~
    ** Added late Fla./Cin. und. 8.5 (100), also raised Fla. to 300
              Unreal,
              Cleveland battles back to tie it up in the bottom of the 8th, and this BUM Batencourt comes in for 1 inning and allows 2 Home Runs.
              The guy has been a closer for a week. Very impressive.....
                Mother Fucker!
                Cinci hits a 2 run shot in the 9th. 2 games in a row, lost in the 9th.
                Oh well, we'll get it back tonight.
                    GOD DAMN WHITESOX
                    Son of a bitch.
                    White Sox leave the bases loaded in the 8th and 9th and lose in the 10th.
                    3 games lost in the 9th or 10th today.
                    -130 so far on the day.
                    Be back soon with tonights games......these WILL be better.
                        RJeremy:
                        I feel your pain; I was on the White Sox too. What a sickening loss!! Why did Ozzie Guillen (Sox manager) need to bring in Koch to pitch the 9th inning??
                        The Sox starter (Buehrle) pitched a great game!! They took Buehrle out after 6 innings which I don't understand but it WAS working out fine. They brought Jackson in to pitch the 7th and Takatsu to pitch the 8th. Each of those pitchers were flawless in their one inning of work. Why not just leave one of them in to pitch the next inning??
                        IF IT AIN'T BROKE; WHY FIX IT??
                        I guarantee you that all White Sox fans (including myself) cringe everytime Koch enters the game as he is not the answer the Sox need at closer. What happened today is all too familiar!!
                        =========================================
                        THIS IS NOTHING NEW IN THE CURRENT STATE OF MLB:
                        In MLB, I think that these blown leads in many cases can be attributed to the whims of the managers with regard to relief pitching.
                        Here is a link to a previous thread started by FrankB03 that touches on this very issue. I think Frank is right on the money with the points that he makes:
                        Have a good rest of the day!!
                        IT CANNOT GET ANY WORSE, can it??
                        Sincerely,
                        Bennojd
                          The answer is yes.......
                          It can get worse.
                          I just watched Todd Zeile hit 2 home runs, a 3 run shot in the 8th and a 2 run shot in the 10th, both with 2 outs..... TO TAKE A 5-3 lead.
                          P.S. I have the UNDER 8 in that game.....
                          Hoping for a push..... UGH!!!!!!
