This is getting (Has Gotten ) out of hand....Idle threats, in many cases become reality....Has everyone forgot the PURPOSE of this FORUM....I URGE you, get this stopped....It only shows our inability to handle simple problems, without letting them become COMPLEX...Trust an OLD man, thats been in 46 states and 19 foreign countries....One day you'll look at events that have evolved from this, and say "Damn, why didn't I see that coming.

You are correct, this has gotten way out of control. I will be the first to admit I have lead the way. I just feel that people shouldn't be taken by this scam. I am a very outspoken person, if I see a wrong I will speak up, I may be wrong, but I call it the way I see it. I am a firm believer in the first amendment.

There is freedom of speech in this country thank god.
That being said, one can choose not to read and/or participate in this debate-the same as changing the the tv station or shutting it off or whatever suits you.
Inasmuch as the repeated charges and counter charges between the particiants offer nothing new in substantive proof to the issue(which in my mind doesn't matter much anyways, as the central issue isf how good the service is in picking winners-the results of the contest showed at least for the contest who won and who lost), I have opted to not "tune" in any more as I find the issue boring at this point and not relevant to picking today's winners, which is all that personally matters to me.

Coverboy-aren't you forgetting that the other folks who are on the other side of this debate are just as guilty of causing the board to lose focus as the ones charged with the crime?
I would say no one should be banned, as no one has been found guilty by an impartial jury.
I think matter should be declared closed, and that it is up to folks who read theads of ECoast and Ty whether they want to buy their picks or not;people can make up their own minds after having read the zillions of posts and seeing the results of the contest.

My thread spelled out who I thought should be on the BAN list, and yours' wasn't on it...You have contributed to some of the, shall we say confusion, as have many others....You put 3 bad apples on the bottom of a barrel, and they will eventualy rot all the others...The bad apples have to rot the one next to them, that rotten one contaminates the next, and so on, chain reaction, till ALL apples aren't worth a damn...What started out as questions, became lies, those became slurs/slander, those became threats, those became call outs...Whats next...We choose 3 men to met those three somewhere....It's got to stop...You are indeed entitled to your opinion, as well as others, including me...But we quit giving opinions a long time ago...Threats are the NORM now....Lots of people here wanted clarification, answers to what appeared to be one BIG ASS SCAM...
Some (Now) are talking about "Freedom of Speech", don't have to participate (read or respond), no one should be banned, is this the same one who had a lot to say all along...This is a FORUM to aid people like us in obtaining an edge against the MAN...I'm sure there are 100's of other forums who would love to have this kind of trash....Reminds me of an internet type of NATIONAL ENQUIRER...Just remove the 3 (More if they care to go also), and the rest of the apples can serve a purpose....I've lived 61 years without TY, EC, MVP and others, I can continue to do so...Those that say, we've got along without kmann this long, and can continue to do so, are right in their way, cause all they see is THEIR WAY...This FORUM has mor EGO's than all of Websters dictionaries put together...Classy, people of worth, contributors, non selfish inputers, will mitigate to an extreme if this continues...

Those that want to read TY, EC threads can go to their website...Strike up a conversation over there, and keep it there...There has not been anything constructive from that pair thus far...Results of the contest spoke for themselves...Who would want those picks...This forum has good cappers...doesn't cost a penny. And did I understand you to call slander, threats, profane language, call outs, references to Mothers, etc a DEBATE...Savage a debate is "to discuss a question by considering opposed arguments"...Consideration has been void all along...Didn't see much discussion, lots of name calling, and calling out--wild west style...And yes, the question, it was never really addressed, answered, discussed, rather evaded...I've read lots of your posts, still don't understand your logic...In life, in business, in sports, in anything that entails numerous people, you have to get rid of those that drag the others down....It's that simple....To correct a problem, detect the problem, go to the source, correct or delete the problem at the source to preclude recurrence....If you disagree with that, I don't know where you're coming from...

KMann-in all due respect I am a little younger than you(not much), and it seems to me there was a lot of name calling and threats on both sides of this issue, which has in my mind become a total joke and actually insults the intelligence of those who have chosen to read rather than participate.
Both points of view after the contest finished could have been made succinctly without the name calling, threats, repeat of the same arguments over and over, etc.
People could have decided themselves based on what each side stated in just a couple of posts;people aren't dumb you know..
It seems to me that if anything EastCoast was the only one who used logic and didn't resort to anything else until provoked.
I still say that most of the posts on both sides were a waste of time, offered very little in way of proof and to me detracted from the central issue which was who won the contest.
I also found it "interesting" that the forum moderator would declare a thread closed when he decided;my question is based on
what?-his interpretation of when it should cease based on who he felt was telling the truth;should not there at least be a vote on when to stop a thread? We do live in a democracy you know.
Regarding on the proposal as to who should be banned, that also is not very democratic, because the inference is that MVP, Ty and MVP are guilty;why not add everyone to the list who made unproven accusations against these people and used vile language and made threats?
I feel no one should be banned or ALL who fueled the fire to this argument should be banned if you want to be politically correct,
As stated, we are adults and can make decisions; censorship and banning folks based on hearsay and circumstantial evidence over an issue blown way out of proportion(my opinion) is a copout and NOT the way to get things back on track.
At the very least the moderator(s) owe it to everyone to set up rules in the future, which should be voted upon by everyone.
If future and agreed upon rules are broken, then and only then should the parties be banned, and even then a vote should,be take;anything else smacks of tyrannyl and is undemocratic.

Just my two cents but once again you know what is in any thread that Ty or EC starts so if you don't like it stay out of it. I respect Wiz for trying to help people stay clear of scummy services, even though I think he gets a little too graphic and insulting even for my taste What Wiz was doing is showing everyone here what was going on. This has gotten out of hand but if it is that disturbing to you then please stay out of the threads. I don't want to lose someone like MMM b/c of this but I like being able to post what you want and to call someone out if you have to.

If BC closed it, then in my respect I disagree;this isn't supposed to be like pre-war Iraq with a dictator deciding when conversation on an issue ceases.
On the other hand you started the poll question on whether EC or Ty should be banned? on what basis should even the vote be taken,-because you and others THINK they lied, because you think EC and Nutt are the same person when they claim they are not?
From my conversations with Nutt last year when you had the PM's, I don't think he is the same persson as EC, and you really haven't proven it.
Since I hold a dissenting opinion to what you and others agree upon, perhaps I should also be added to the list.
I still think banning is too harsh, and that a strict set of rules agreed upon by everyone(people could make suggestions) should be set up, and if the moderator feels a rule has been broken, then a vote should be taken to see whether the offending parties should be bannned.
Sorry-yelling and screaming and namecalling on both sides with very little substantive proof of anything are not grounds to pick and choose who to ban, and in actuality in my opinion it is too early for that extreme measure for a democratic society which maintains innocence until guilt is proven.
