  • 3 Wise Men Report – Saturday 5/29

    Kmann / Frank B / Coverboy

Run line plays continue to be our bread and butter.

Ride the run plays for normal amounts but we still recommend cutting back your wagering amounts on the other selections for the time being.

Saturday Recommendations: All plays on the money line

    1 ½ * Cincinnati -110

    1 ½* Boston -145

    1* Philadelphia -155

    1* Pittsburgh -110

    1* Milwaukee Even

    1* Kansas City +110

    1* Oakland -140
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    FRIDAY Results : 3-3 -77

    1*....Atlanta + 1 1/2 Run Line –160 Won +100

    1*....Pirates + 1 1/2 Run Line -155...Game #1 Specify Wells/Clement Won +100

    1 1/2*....Reds...ML –134 Won +100

    1*....Dodgers + 1 1/2 Run Line –140 Loss -140

    1*...Athletics...ML –128 Loss –128

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Our Record into Today:

    3 ½ * 0-1 ( -150 )

    3* 9-5 (+335 )

    2 1/2 * 9-2 (+ 710 )

    2* and 1* 93- 76 (+1,672)

ALL WISE MEN PLAYS COMBINED : 111 – 84 (+2,567) This is based on a flat $100 per game. Had all games been played at $100 per star the profit to date would be right around $5,000.

Run Line Plays now are 23-11 (Their W/L record and Profit are included in the +1,754)

High Line Plays are now 6-1 +415 ( These are separate from everything else. We do not count these plays for the record … we pass on these games … but we’ll keep their record for informational purposes only )

Hang in there .... - Coverboy

A system I've been following that YTD has done very well. I will post the selections. The system yields about 1 or 2 dogs each day. These selections do NOT count towards our Wise Men record. I've been playing these selections on both the ML and RL. It has returned a handsome profit.

Frank. I'll be looking for your "doggie" picks, since that's where the value is. Even though you are keeping these separate from your friends WiseMen plays, can you still post your record somewhere in their thread.

Got a question for the wisest of the wise men. One thing I have been wondering about the WiseMen plays. How come all plays are for a flat $100 a game, instead of a $100 per star. Isn't that the reason for stars, to risk more on the plays you like the most and visa versa. At least that's how I post my plays. In any event, I can see the amount of work you guys do each day and want you to know it is appreciated and not wasted.

I'll update the doggie record the first chance I get.

Regarding your question on the * units. We decided until the all-star break to play all selections equal. After the break we will play them according to their unit play.

Frank. Thanks for updating the doggie plays when you have the time. But what I really wanted to know was, which one of the Three Wise Men is the wisest of the Wise Men and Frank answered. :D :D

re "why not play them according to rated (*'s) plays...We decided early on to use 100.00 as a unit per game, keep the record that way, for ease of compilation....I have used this system for years, know what it can do, and do Play according to *'s (Units)..

Look in coverboys records, and he stipulates one would be up about 50 units now, had one played $ value in even ratio to unit ratings (*'s)...

We've had a 9 day lull/bad time, and only managed to drop between 5-6 units....The $/* even ratio wagering is now down to between 47-48 units...It's too time constraining to do this on a daily basis...1/4 of MLB is gone...1 unit players up 25+ units, $/* players up 47+ units...If we stay this way, we'd finish strong...

hope this helps...kmann...1 of the 3 wise men, not necessarily the wisest, but had to answer...

Now you've got the 3 of us ... lol ... We call ourselves " The 3 Wise Men " only because we come bearing gifts . Our goal is to create a bankroll for our friends so that we can then procede into the fall and winter sports . This is our first project together .... we want to contribute ... and we want all to benefit .

                            Take care . -Neil

Neil. Thanks for the info. It's no big deal, since if I were following your plays, it's still my decision how many units to play. I'm just having a hard time figuring out why it's better being up 25+ units instead of being up 47+ or 50+ units. I hope you guys can keep on winning because I can use "gifts" trying to figure out the NFL.
