  • Poll Question-How to Make next Challenge More Believeable

With all of the controversy and criticism surrounding the recent challenge between Ty and East Coast, I think everyone who has any suggestions( and especially those who have questioned the integrity of it) should state how they would improve the next contest of this nature and make it more believeable so that we wouldn't have this raging argument.

      savage............

it is simple. Have BC take care of the money part through netteller............just like wayne stated. then have each one's picks emailed and BC posts them.

I personally agree with you (Tony) and Wayne.
I wonder how much criticism would have been leveled if the contest was for only say $20000. I for one don't think there would have been as much.
Personally I couldn't care less if contest between EC and TY was for $100000 or for nothing.
I just wanted to see what each was made of and the way they chose games(as well as their record of course), even though no real conclusions can be drawn for such a small sample.
I hope to see more of these challenges in the future with the method streamlined somewhat to pacify everyone who questioned the integrity of the one just completed.

I agree savage. I would have enjoyed the challenge if it was for nothing. Just like the one I was in with other members on here. The main thing that bothers me about the challenge is that Ty goes 3-7 and claims he wasn't always using his best plays. He could at least lose like a man.

if it is going to be a regular occurance, which i doubt, bettorschat can state that proof of financial transaction must be submitted to him or the contest is not permitted.

i don't exactly know what proof one can give in the type of contest that just went down while maintaining confidentiality...i sure as hell wouldn't give my banking information to anyone, but maybe BETTORSCHAT can figure that out.

if it's a net teller deal then it would be easy to do

                No argument there, Tony.
On the other hand no one is twisting anyone's arms to buy any of anyone's picks.
To me it was a contest, nothing more, and the results speak for themselves.
Actually, I was impressed(even though it was just 10 games) the way East Coast camer back after being way behind.
It doesn't mean I am going to run out and but their service tomorrow, and I don't believe that either TY nor East Coast had that in mind when they entered the contest, even if you don't believe contest was for $100000.
Does anyone go out and buy one of the Big Green Machine cappers' picks because they win or claim they win 2 or 3 one hundred million star picks in a row? Of course not.
Same thing her;I would like to see a challenge with no money involved;for me its the quality of the picks which count, not how much is involved in the challenge.
                Just my thoughts.

Why would anyone agree to wager on ONLY 10 games? I would not bet my mother on just 10 games.

If EC and Ty had wagered on more than 10 many would have lost interest following it.
NSA's NBA Game Of The Year was on Dallas -4.5 on March 31. Orlando won 108-99. It was a cloudy day for Sonny LaFouchi.
