Unreal is putting it mildly. I have Toronto both on the ML and the RL. When will it stop.

Tough break, John (EZ).........
on that Toronto game.
You capped it well but there is no way to predict a manager's whims when it comes to relief pitching. I'm not sure why the Blue Jays took out Justin Miller (their starter) after six innings when he was going good. Next, Aquilino Lopez and Jason Kershner both pitched well enough to stay in the game. There was really no reason why Terry Adams needed to pitch today.
This is nothing new in MLB, however. Check out this thread where FrankB03 makes some very good points about this issue:

Good luck with the rest of your plays!

Justin Miller did throw about 105 pitches so I can see why he would get pulled. Now the other 2 I don't know what the fuck the manager was doing pulling them. Those guys can pitch more than one inning a piece. If its not broke than don't fix it!!!!!!!!

the fucking stupid thing about pitchers today is the pitch counts. 100 pitches is the mark managers use no matter who you are or how strong you are. if you are still throw in the high 90s in the 7th inning that doesn't mean that you are tired. they should go on where pitches are located and the velocity in determining whether to pull a pitcher. why can't a guy throw 150 pitches every 5 days. in high school games there are 16-18 year olds who throw 120+ pitches and then when they get pulled they go play catcher or shortstop. I think that pitch counts are the reason that pitchers arms aren't as strong now a days. if you have a strong arm but constantly train it to only throw 100 pitches and no more how can it get stronger? you don't see complete games anymore and you don't see pitchers get to the 8th inning anymore cuz joe "blown save" has to come in and throw the 8th to get the fire started for a guy that shouldn't be in the AA level but he can throw 99mph for 15 pitches every 3 nights.
I think that capping bullpens is more important now than starting pitching along with a teams ability to take pitches and build up pitch counts...the way the angels hitters do now.
peaceGet the best line possible....or you can just gamble!

the managers these days are a bunch of automotons. they are handed a manual that says have your starter go 6-7 innings, have your set up men get you to the 9th then put in your closer. they have no feel for the game at all, or how certain pitchers are going. they take out guys who are pitching great for no reason and leave in their closers to blow the game no matter how bad they suck. tosca's performance today was embarassing.

John (EZ):
A plus night despite the Toronto setback!
All I can say about Cincy is:
whewwww...........that was close!
Juan Acavedo (Reds starter) pitched a great game but they had to take him out just because he pitched a whole seven innings.
Well, you know the rest; it's the same old story in MLB!!!
Anyway, a win is a win is a win no matter how you get it!
Thanks for the plays and great job as usual!!
Sincerely,
