trying to figure a good bet to hedge on the sharks-flames game tonight.my bookie has the line of even - 1/2 sharks favored which means since its the playoffs all they have to do is win.also its even money,no vig.then i just set up an account with bodog.com and the moneyline has calgary at +165 which means if i play them and then san jose wit my local,i could make some money no matter what.just trying to figure the best way to go.

Capone,
Bet the Sharks-.5(even), then play the Flames ML +165 at 75% of your bet on the Sharks and you'll make money either way.
ex. $2000 on Sharks -.5 to win $2000
$1500 on Flames ML +165 to win $2475
If the Sharks win, you win $500
If the Flames win, you win $475
I'm assuming there's no juice on the ML dog.

you sure he is giving even money on the sharks in this one? the guy must know shit about hockey lines if he's doing that.
anyways if that is the case, put $1000 on calgary AND $1325 on the sharks, or relative smaller amounts. that way you win $325 no matter who wins.

your local is giving you a very weak line, which is good but,
please make sure that his line includes overtime, because i dont want San Jose to win in ot and you lose both your bets
just looking out for you
if this spread does include overtime, then bet the maximum cash you have on hand without affecting your daily life!!!
thanks,
Gianni

thanks bud
yeah this includes ot.i want to bet alot, but i dont know how quickly i could recieve the funds from bodog.com . i just barely opened my account with them. i put 200$ on san jose with my local and 150$ to win 247$ on ml with calgary at bodog.com so if san jose wins i get 50$ net. and if calgary wins i get 47.50$ net.i know this aint much but i only have 400$ in my bodog acct.i mainly want to see the finished product.and there is still more playoffs left, hopefully some more even-1/2.thanks for the posts guys
