The weekend was HUGE on the bases, going 9-2 for a profit of 25.36 units and cashing in all three 5 STAR plays!! Lets try to keep it going today, with two plays for Monday.......
5 STAR: CLEVELAND (-$125) OVER Chicago
(Cliff Lee vs. Felix Diaz)
The White Sox are coming off of a big 11-0 win over the Twins yesterday. They had a team meeting prior to the game and Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen shook up the lineup in an effort the score some runs and beat the Twins. They did not want to be swept by the Twins and gave a great effort to do so. This could be a real flat spot tonight for the Sox. It is tough to get up for a team that you have beaten in seven out of the last eight meetings, especially when coming off of a big win. I think Cleveland is in a great spot here. The Tribe is 8-2 in their last 10 home games, while Chicago is only 2-4 in their last six road games. The Indians are 5-1 in home series openers this season while the White Sox are 1-4 in road series openers this season. Indians starting pitcher Cliff Lee has allowed only 5 runs in his last 3 starts and has an ERA of 2.37 in those starts and he is 3-0 at home this season. White Sox starter, Felix Diaz is making his second start of the season. He was shelled in his first start allowing 5 earned runs in only 4.1 inning pitched, including four home runs against the Orioles. This is his first start on the road and I don't think he will fare well against the Cleveland lineup that has scored at least 6 runs in 7 out of their last 8 games. The Indians are the play here!
2 STAR: OVER 13 RUNS Philadelphia @ Colorado
(Randy Wolf vs. Aaron Cook)
The over/under is 12-8-1 in games played at Coors Field this season and not since a 3-game set with the Dodgers in mid-March has the under won more than once in a Rockies home series. In this current 4 game series against the Phillies, the totals are currently at 1-1-1 with yesterday's 13 run push. I look for the over to bring home the money this afternoon. Aaron Cook starts today for the Rockies and I look for the Phillies to due some damage to him. Cook in his career is 0-5 in day games with an ERA of 6.95. Randy Wolf takes the mound for the Phillies, Wolf has won his last two starts against Colorado, and both played games played over the total The over is 6-3-1 overall in Wolf’s last ten starts. I don't think the 14 is too much to ask for here!
