Event: Montreal Expos vs St. Louis Cardinals on 05-08-2004 at 16:05

    Condition: St. Louis Cardinals

Explanation: Cardinals are likely to have more fans at the park than the Expos these days. With Ohka in struggling form and owning a 7.36 career ERA against St. Louis, we?ll back the red Birds here tonight.

Event: Toronto Blue Jays vs Chicago White Sox on 05-08-2004 at 10:05

    Condition: Chicago White Sox

Explanation: Shoeneweis has been a pleasant early season surprise, and we look for him to have continued success here vs. a Toronto team that has struggled at home. Schoeneweis is off to a 3-1 start with a 3.69 ERA. He has recorded 4 Quality Starts out of 5 starts, and he is coming off of his best start of the season where he held Baltimore to just 1 run and 2 hits in 7 innings. He has also fared well vs. the Blue Jays throughout his career, posting a 2.85 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 15 appearances against them, limiting Toronto hitters to just a .237 batting average. Batista has had a shaky start to his Toronto career, going 0-3 with a 5.45 ERA and a high 1.49 WHIP in 6 starts. He has been atrocious at Sky Dome, where he has a horrific 9.42 ERA and 2.23 WHIP, with opposing batters hitting.367 off of him! Batista is not the only Toronto player struggling here at home, as the Blue Jays are off to a dismal 4-9 start here. To make matters worse, their home crowds are getting more and more sparse, which makes it difficult for the Jays to motivate themselves.

Event: Seattle Mariners vs New York Yankees on 05-08-2004 at 19:05

    Condition: New York Yankees

Explanation: Todays starter for the Yankees Mike Mussina has had success vs the Mariners in the past and was 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA in two starts against them last season .Mussina is also 15-5 lifetime vs Mariners and the Yankees are 5-0 L5 when Mussina starts against the Mariners. I know the Moose has struggled this season especially on the road but after watching him in his last start I feel he is finally coming into form. Note:When these two American League foes meet in Seattle the Yankees hold the advantage having won 19 of the L 27 meetings.Take the Yankees moneyline

        MILWAUKEE BREWERS (14-15) AT NEW YORK METS (13-16), 1:10 P.M. -------------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: Milwaukee - Adrian Hernandez (0-2, 10.13) New York - Tyler Yates (1-3, 5.40)

(Sports Network) - A pair of teams searching for consistency go head-to-head this afternoon at Shea Stadium, when the New York Mets host the Milwaukee Brewers for the second of a three-game set in the Big Apple.

Milwaukee has split its last four after tallying a 7-5 win in the series opener Friday night. Lyle Overbay went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI to pace the Brewers' offensive attack.

Overbay extended his hitting streak to nine games, going 16-of-34 with seven doubles, two homers and 13 RBI over that span.

Scott Podsednik, Craig Counsell and Wes Helms added two hits apiece for the Brewers, who ended a two-game losing streak and won for only the second time in seven contests.

Podsednik has stolen 17 consecutive bases dating back to last year, tying a Brewers club record set by Robin Yount from 1988-89. He has 16 stolen bases this year, good enough for the National League lead.

Milwaukee starter Doug Davis (2-2) went a season high 6 2/3 innings, allowing only two runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked one, picking up his first win in six starts while also ending a personal two-game losing streak. Davis has not allowed a HR in 31 innings.

Milwaukee will have 29-year-old righthander Adrian Hernandez on the mound this afternoon. Hernandez will be making his first start of the season, as lefthander Chris Capuano is on the disabled list due to a quadriceps injury. The Brewers had been using a four-man rotation, but for the time being Hernandez will be making spot starts.

Hernandez has not been good in five relief efforts this season, allowing 20 hits and 15 runs over 11 2/3 innings of action. In his last appearance, Hernandez was touched for three hits and three runs (two earned) over 1 2/3 innings of action by Cincinnati.

Hernandez, a former New York Yankee, has never faced the New York Mets.

New York will pin its hopes on young righty Tyler Yates today. Yates has lost consecutive starts, including a defeat to San Diego last Saturday. The Hawaiian twirler was hammered for seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over 4 1/3 innings of action against the Padres. Yates walked five and struck out two in the defeat.

Yates, a rookie, will be toeing the rubber against Milwaukee for the first time in his career.

Mike Piazza drove in a run and Joe McEwing hit a three-run homer Friday for New York, which had its season-high four-game winning streak halted. McEwing ended 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Mets outfielder Karim Garcia had his team-best 10-game hit streak come to an end, going 0-for-4.

New York starter Tom Glavine (4-2) suffered the loss, surrendering four runs on six hits in six innings. He struck out four and walked three.

The Mets played without starting outfielders Mike Cameron and Shane Spencer, both of whom are nursing minor injuries. Cameron missed his second straight game with a hand injury, while Spencer was a late scratch with back spasms. Both are listed as questionable for this contest.

Prior to the game, the Mets activated Ty Wigginton off the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Jeff Duncan to Triple-A Norfolk.

The Brewers won six of the nine meetings last season from New York.

        SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (13-17) AT CINCINNATI REDS (15-14), 1:15 P.M. ------------------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: San Francisco - Dustin Hermanson (1-1, 4.70) Cincinnati - Paul Wilson (3-0, 4.79)

(Sports Network) - Two of the league's biggest stars will be featured this afternoon at Great American Ball Park, when Ken Griffey Jr. and the Cincinnati Reds host Barry Bonds and the San Francisco Giants for the second of a three- game set.

Bonds and the Giants got the best of the Reds in the series opener Friday, as they posted a 6-1 victory. Kirk Reuter, not Bonds, was the star as he tossed eight shutout innings to help the Giants to the win.

Rueter (1-3) was superb, holding the Reds to only three hits while striking out four and walking none for his first win of the season. He improved to 11-1 lifetime against Cincinnati. Matt Herges mopped things up in the ninth for his 10th save.

Pedro Feliz finished 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and three RBI to pace the San Francisco offensive charge. Marquis Grissom added two RBI and Rueter helped himself with a RBI.

Bonds went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored in the win. The All- Star's intentional walk in the seventh was followed by Feliz's crucial homer.

The Giants will look to Ohio native Dustin Hermanson to get the job done today. Hermanson has been activated from the disabled list for the start, as he has been out since April 21 due to a back injury. Hermanson hails from Springfield, OH, only an hour from Cincinnati.

Hermanson's last start was April 20 against San Diego, when he was hammered for nine hits and six runs over 3 2/3 innings. The 31-year-old walked and struck out two in the losing effort.

Hermanson has not been good in his career against the Reds, posting just a 3-9 mark with a sizeable 5.08 ERA in 19 games.

Cincinnati will hand the ball to righthander Paul Wilson this afternoon. Wilson has cooled off a bit with a 1-0 mark in his last four starts. Last time on the hill, Wilson gave up eight hits and five runs (four earned) through 5 2/3 innings of action. Wilson struck out five and walked three in the no- decision.

Wilson has gone to the hill four times against San Francisco in his career, registering a 1-2 mark with a 5.96 ERA.

The Reds didn't get much offense going Friday, tallying just six hits and a run. Ryan Freel went 2-for-3 in the loss, while D'Angelo Jimenez knocked in Cincy's only run.

Griffey, who batted fifth in the order for the second straight contest, finished 0-for-4. The former phenom hasn't hit that low in the order since 1990.

The Giants managed just one hit through six innings against Reds starter Cory Lidle before finally breaking through in the seventh. Lidle (2-2) fell apart in the eighth, and surrendered six runs on six hits in all, fanning seven and walking just one.

These teams split six meetings last season. San Francisco is 8-5 in the last 13 meetings with the Reds, including a 3-4 mark in the Queen City.

        COLORADO ROCKIES (12-16) AT CHICAGO CUBS (17-12), 2:20 P.M. -----------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: Colorado - Jason Jennings (1-4, 10.57) Chicago - Greg Maddux (2-2, 5.05)

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs will set their sights on their third straight win today, as they continue their three-game series against the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field.

Chicago registered a dominating 11-0 win over the Colorado Rockies in the series opener. Carlos Zambrano tossed a two-hit shutout to lead the Cubs to the win. The 22-year-old Zambrano (3-1) also did not allow a walk and picked up five strikeouts for his second shutout of his young career.

Corey Patterson collected four RBI for the Cubs, who won for the third time in six games. Sammy Sosa, Jose Macias, Michael Barrett and Ramon Martinez mustered two hits each. Martinez and Sosa posted two RBI apiece.

With Friday's win, Chicago has won consecutive games for the first time since April 24-25.

Chicago starting pitcher Mark Prior was transferred Friday from the 15- day disabled list to the 60-day DL. He is eligible to be activated on June 3. Prior has been sidelined since the beginning of the season due to an inflamed right Achilles' tendon.

Chicago will pin its hopes on four-time Cy Young Greg Maddux today. Maddux has won his last two decisions, including a victory over St. Louis on Monday. The 38-year-old limited the Cardinals to just seven hits and two runs over seven innings, while fanning six and not walking anyone.

Maddux has been quite successful against the Rockies in his career, going 11-3 with a 3.84 ERA in 17 contests. This will be his first contest against Colorado this season.

Colorado will send struggling righthander Jason Jennings to the bump this afternoon. Jennings has lost three consecutive starts, including a defeat to Montreal on Tuesday. The 2002 National League Rookie of the Year was touched for eight hits and six runs over five innings by the Expos, while fanning two and walking one.

Jennings has faced the Cubs just once in his career, allowing three hits and three runs over five innings. The 25-year-old Baylor product fanned nine and walked four in the contest.

The Rockies' two hits (both singles) came from Aaron Miles and Matt Holliday in the contest. Colorado has lost three of its last four contests.

Colorado lefthander Shawn Estes (4-2) was greeted rudely by his former teammates as he lost for the first time in three decisions. Estes, who also played for Cubs manager Dusty Baker in San Francisco, was tagged for nine runs on seven hits and five walks in just 2 2/3 innings.

These teams split six meetings last season, as the home team won two of three contests in each series. Since the start of the 2002 campaign, the Cubs are 8-5 versus the Rockies.

        SAN DIEGO PADRES (18-12) AT FLORIDA MARLINS (17-12), 6:05 P.M. --------------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: San Diego - Ismael Valdez (3-1, 3.62) Florida - Darren Oliver (2-1, 8.54)

(Sports Network) - A pair of former Texas Rangers go head-to-head this evening, when San Diego's Ismael Valdez takes the mound against Florida's Darren Oliver in the middle test of a three-game set between the teams at Pro Player Stadium.

Valdez spent most of 2002 and the entire 2003 campaign with Texas, while Oliver was with the Rangers from 1993-98 and 2000-01. Oliver (54) and Valdez (14) combined for 68 wins in a Rangers uniform.

Valdez has split time between the rotation and the bullpen for the Padres this season. The 30-year-old has made four consecutive starts on the heels of three relief appearances. Last time on the hill, Valdez was tagged for seven hits and five runs over five innings by New York in a loss. The veteran walked two and struck out one in the losing effort.

Valdez appeared in 10 career games against the Marlins, going 4-4 with a 2.93 ERA. As a Ranger last season, Valdez faced Florida just once in interleague play. The Mexican twirler held the Marlins to six hits and two runs over six innings of a victory.

Oliver has struggled mightily for the Marlins this season, but has managed to record a 2-1 mark. The lefthander has given up five or more earned runs in each of his last starts -- all on the road. Last time on the hill, Oliver allowed six hits and six runs (five earned) through four innings of a no- decision against San Francisco.

Oliver has been effective against the Padres in his career, going 5-2 with a 4.92 ERA in nine games. Last season, Oliver went 2-1 versus San Diego.

The Marlins got the upper hand in this series Friday, as they registered a 3-1 victory. Mike Lowell hit two solo homers to pace the Florida offensive attack.

Luis Castillo, who had missed the previous three games with a fractured left pinky finger, was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles for the Marlins. Florida won for just the second time in its last seven contests. Hee Seop Choi added an RBI triple for Florida and Juan Pierre had two hits.

Carl Pavano pitched eight strong innings in the win for Florida. Pavano (3-1) allowed just one run on four hits while striking out three to earn his first career win against San Diego (1-5).

Armando Benitez threw a 1-2-3 ninth for his 12th save of the season.

San Diego starter Jake Peavy (2-2) took the loss after he permitted two runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings before being ejected for intentionally throwing at Pavano. Peavy struck out eight and walked one for the Padres, who lost for just the third time in their past 11 contests.

Terrence Long was the lone offensive force for San Diego in the defeat, going 2-for-3. Two other Padres registered a hit in the contest, as Brian Giles saw his nine-game hitting streak end.

Sean Burroughs will return to action Saturday after missing two games with a bruised right hand.

Phil Nevin is mired in an 8-for-51 slump. However, Nevin is 7-of-19 in his career against Oliver.

The Marlins have dominated the Padres, going 11-2 against them since the start of the 2002 season. Florida has won eight straight at home over San Diego.

        HOUSTON ASTROS (19-10) AT ATLANTA BRAVES (13-15), 7:05 P.M. -----------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: Houston - Roy Oswalt (2-1, 2.76) Atlanta - Horacio Ramirez (0-3, 2.43)

(Sports Network) - When Astros manager Jimy Williams decided to name Roy Oswalt his No. 1 starter, despite the acquisitions of Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte in the offseason, it raised a lot of eyebrows. Oswalt himself took it in stride and has done nothing to disappoint with a 2-1 mark and a 2.76 ERA in the top spot in the rotation.

Oswalt will aim to continue his success this evening, when he anchors Houston against the Atlanta Braves in the second of their three-game series at Turner Field.

Oswalt has hit a bit of a bump in the road as of late, going winless (0-1) in his last three starts. The Weir, MS native got a no-decision last time on the hill, as he allowed six hits and four runs (three earned) over six innings against Cincinnati. Oswalt struck out seven and walked four in the contest.

Oswalt hasn't been at his best against the Braves in his career, posting a 0-1 mark with a 5.65 ERA. The righthander has allowed 19 hits and nine runs over 14 1/3 innings in three games.

The Braves will reply by sending 24-year-old lefthander Horacio Ramirez to the hill this evening. Ramirez is winless (0-3) in five starts this season, including a defeat to Colorado last Sunday. The southpaw surrendered five hits and eight runs (none earned) over 3 1/3 innings, while walking three and fanning one.

Ramirez dropped his only career start against Houston, as he was tagged for eight hits and five runs through 5 1/3 innings of action.

Houston has won eight of its last nine contests after posting a 5-3 victory in the series opener Friday. Jeff Kent finished with three hits, including a homer and three RBI to lead the Astros to the win.

Lance Berkman added three hits and drove in two for the Astros, who have won four straight. Richard Hidalgo and Adam Everett both contributed two hits.

Craig Biggio finished 1-for-4 in the game and is now just one hit away from becoming the first Astro and the 80th MLB player to reach the 2,500 hit plateau.

Tim Redding, who worked past the fifth inning for the first time in five starts this season, earned his first win of the season. Redding (1-3) permitted one run on four hits in six innings. Octavio Dotel earned his fifth save.

The Astros are 19-0 this season when leading after eight innings. They are 249-5 in that situation since the start of the 2001 season.

John Thomson (2-2), the Atlanta starter, absorbed the loss after permitting five runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings despite retiring the first 10 hitters he faced.

J.D. Drew and Adam LaRoche both finished with two hits, including a homer, for the Braves, who suffered their third straight loss.

Outfielder Chipper Jones will be activated from the disabled list for tonight's contest. Jones was originally supposed to return Friday, but Atlanta manager Bobby Cox chose to wait 24 more hours to rest his now healthy right hamstring.

With Chipper coming off the DL, the Braves are expected to send either Damon Hollins or Dewayne Wise back to Triple-A Richmond.

Atlanta has won six of the last eight matchups versus Houston. This is the first series between the teams in 2004.

        ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (15-15) AT MONTREAL EXPOS (9-21), 7:05 P.M. ---------------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: St. Louis - Jason Marquis (1-2, 3.82) Montreal - Tomo Ohka (0-5, 5.13)

(Sports Network) - Still searching for his first win of the season, Tomo Ohka heads to the hill tonight for the Montreal Expos in the second of their three- game set versus the St. Louis Cardinals at Olympic Stadium.

Ohka has lost all five of his starts this season despite allowing four or less earned runs in each of the games. The Kyoto, Japan native dropped his last start after giving up six hits and two runs through 6 2/3 innings of work versus San Diego. Ohka walked and struck out one in the contest.

Ohka has not been great against St. Louis in his career, going 2-3 with a 7.45 ERA in four contests.

St. Louis will counter with 25-year-old righthander Jason Marquis on the hill. Marquis has lost two of his last three decisions this season, including a defeat to the Chicago Cubs on Monday. The hurler allowed seven hits and three runs over 6 1/3 innings in the defeat, while fanning five and walking two.

Marquis has been successful against the Expos in his career, going 2-1 with a 3.21 ERA. The twirler has allowed 38 hits and 15 earned runs over 42 innings of action against Montreal.

Montreal has gotten hot as of late, winning four of its last five. The Expos continued their impressive play with a 4-2 victory in the series opener.

Brad Wilkerson and Terrmel Sledge both clubbed two-run homers to lead the Expos to the victory. Endy Chavez collected a pair of hits for the Expos, who posted consecutive victories for only the third time this season.

Sun-Woo Kim pitched six strong innings of one-run ball for the win. Kim (2-0) scattered seven hits, struck out four batters and walked four. Rocky Biddle pitched the ninth for his sixth save.

Matt Morris was saddled with the loss, permitting four runs on seven hits in six innings of work. Morris (3-3) also struck out a pair and did not issue a walk.

Scott Rolen drove in the only run for St. Louis, which has lost two of its last three games. Marlon Anderson and Reggie Sanders each posted two hits in the loss, while Colin Porter hit his first major league home run. Sanders is had been mired in an 0-for-22 slump.

On Friday, St. Louis placed righthander Mike Lincoln on the 15-day disabled list due to a right elbow strain. Meanwhile, the club recalled pitcher Kiko Calero from Triple-A Memphis.

Cardinals shortstop Edgar Renteria left the game in the sixth inning with back spasms. Renteria is questionable for this contest.

Cardinals second baseman Tony Womack was taken out of the lineup a few hours before game time because of soreness in his lower body and was replaced by Anderson. It is unknown if Womack will be available for this contest.

St. Louis went 5-1 against the Expos last season, including a 2-1 road mark. The Cardinals are 12-7 versus Montreal since the start of the 2001 campaign.

        LOS ANGELES DODGERS (18-10) AT PITTSBURGH PIRATES (12-15), 7:05 P.M. --------------------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: Los Angeles - Hideo Nomo (3-3, 6.27) Pittsburgh - Ryan Vogelsong (1-3, 7.56)

(Sports Network) - Veteran righthander Hideo Nomo will attempt to halt a two- start skid tonight, when he leads the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the middle test of their three-game series.

Nomo hasn't been bad in his last two starts, but they haven't ended up with a positive result. Case in point, Nomo allowed seven hits and three runs over five innings against Montreal last week but fell 6-4 in the contest. The Japanese hurler walked three and struck out two in the losing effort. Over his last two outings, Nomo has surrendered 12 hits and seven runs.

Nomo has been solid in his career against the Pirates, tallying a 6-4 record with a 3.51 ERA in 11 games.

Taking the ball for the Pirates tonight will be righthander Ryan Vogelsong. Vogelsong hasn't won since April 8 against Philadelphia -- a span of four starts. The 26-year-old didn't post a decision last time on the hill after allowing five hits and two runs over six innings to Milwaukee. Vogelsong struck out six and walked four in the contest.

Vogelsong is 0-1 with a 6.43 ERA in his career against Los Angeles. The hurler has allowed nine hits and five earned runs over seven innings, while fanning four and walking two.

Los Angeles picked up an impressive 4-0 win in the series opener Friday night. Wilson Alvarez yielded just one hit in seven innings to lead the Dodgers to the victory. Alvarez (1-0), who was making his first start of the season after working out of the bullpen, struck out five and threw just 85 pitches, with 57 of those going for strikes. In the process, Alvarez lowered his earned run average to 1.52.

Jose Hernandez homered twice and drove in three runs against his former team, as the Dodgers improved to 17-5 versus the Pirates since the start of the 2001 season.

It was the seventh multi-home run game of Hernandez' career, as his last one came against Pittsburgh on July 14, 2002 as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Pittsburgh starter Oliver Perez (2-1) was saddled with his first loss of the season, as he allowed all four runs on six hits in eight innings of work.

Chris Stynes had the only Pirates hit, as Pittsburgh lost for the fourth straight time.

Pirates right fielder Raul Mondesi missed the game and will miss the rest of the series as he flew back to the Dominican Republic for personal reasons.

Pirates catcher Jason Kendall is struggling, as he is hitless in his last 14 at-bats.

Los Angeles won five of six meetings between these teams last season, including all three at PNC Park. The Dodgers are 11-2 on the road against the Pirates since the start of the 2001 campaign.

        PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES (13-14) AT ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (12-16), 10:05 P.M. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Probable Starting Pitchers: Philadelphia - Eric Milton (2-0, 3.86) Arizona - Brandon Webb (2-1, 2.21)

(Sports Network) - For the second time in a week, Philadelphia's Eric Milton and Arizona's Brandon Webb will duel, as the teams continue their three-game battle at Bank One Ballpark tonight.

Neither of the pitchers got a decision last Sunday, as Webb saw the Arizona bullpen blow a lead and Milton was fortunate for the comeback, 6-5, 14-inning win. Webb allowed four hits and two runs over 6 2/3 innings, while Milton was touched for six hits and four runs over six frames.

Webb is 1-0 over his last three starts, allowing just three earned runs through 18 2/3 innings of work. The 24-year-old righthander has struck out 14 and walked eight during the stretch. Webb hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his six 2004 starts.

Webb has made three career starts, tallying a 0-1 record with a 2.75 ERA. The hurler has surrendered just 14 hits and six earned runs through 19 2/3 innings of work against Philadelphia.

Milton, who was acquired from Minnesota in the offseason, is unbeaten (2-0) in his first five starts in a Philadelphia uniform. The State College, PA native has allowed just 28 hits and 12 runs over 28 innings of action this year. Milton has fanned 22 and walked 11 on the season.

Last week's start against Arizona was the first for Milton in his seven-year career.

Philadelphia toppled Randy Johnson for the first time in an Arizona uniform Friday, posting a 4-1 win. Jimmy Rollins delivered an RBI single in the seventh inning to force in the go-ahead run for the Phillies. David Bell added three hits in the win.

Jim Thome started the comeback with his 10th homer for Philadelphia, which overcame a 1-0 deficit to beat Johnson (3-3) for the first time in 11 starts. Thome, who is tied for the NL lead in homers with Barry Bonds and Adam Dunn, passed Craig Nettles for 41st place all-time on homer list (391).

Phillies 2B Placido Polanco left after seven innings with a strained left calf muscle and was placed on the 15-day DL after the game.

Vicente Padilla (1-4) allowed one run on five hits in six innings to post his first victory of the season for the Phillies, who scored three runs in the seventh to win for the second time in three games.

Rheal Cormier, Tim Worrell and Billy Wagner combined for three shutout innings. Wagner retired the side in the ninth to notch his eighth save.

Phillies righthander Ryan Madson has started his major league career by not allowing an earned run in his first 19 innings, dating back to last season. That's the longest streak by a Phillie to begin his career since Marty Bystrom's 20-inning streak in 1980.

Johnson, who was 7-0 in his previous 10 starts against the Phillies, left after walking Mike Lieberthal. The 40-year old Johnson struck out 10 and was charged with two runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings. Johnson had his 194th double-digit strikeout game, and third in seven starts this season.

Steve Finley posted two hits -- including a home run -- for the Diamondbacks, who suffered their second straight loss. Four other Diamondbacks registered a hit in the defeat.

Arizona has won eight of the last 14 matchups with the Phillies, but Philadelphia came away last weekend with a pair of wins in the three-game set.

you said they were having a big game tonight also in your first post.
i have been watching what is going on , in here . and to some points i agree with you and i also agree with kmann also.
i think you both have and are right on some points. but i can get over or look past things if someone post plays win or lose .
but its my opinion though that is all.
i think you both are god for this forum though.
