don wagner?

i saw a couple of post yesterday about don wagner being a scammer. very curious about this as i was thinking of sending money in for one of the services he sells (was thinking of using one-on-one sports or the professional). could someone please tell me of their bad or good experiences when dealing with him. i always was under the impression that he was one of the honest ones although i know most of the services he sells the plays for are kind of pricey. if anyone could give me any more info it would be much appreciated. thanks.

Also, notice how I inquired....politely, professionaly, and for the sole purpose of clarification....You've ALWAYS responded in a POSITIVE way....Good Job....we need people like you to make/keep this FORUM a useful tool in wagering...

PHI (MILLWOOD) -138 over STL (Williams) - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
In the limited time Williams has faced the Philly hitters, they have hit him extremely hard. Although the box scores will show improvement over his last two starts, opposing hitters continue to hit him hard, and his control rate is still bad. I think the Philly lineup can score off of him, and Millwood & Co. should be able to make it stand.

MON (DAY) -109 over Col (Kennedy) - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
As I talked about in yesterday's writeup, I will blindly take the Expos in this one. Due to the "hangover effect" that the Rockies seem to experience, I will be betting against them in the first three games of a road trip, as long as the line justifies it. So another bet tomorrow will be the final one for this trip.

CHW (BUEHRLE) +100 over Bal (Ponson) - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
The BA/OBP/SLG splits for Baltimore's lineup versus lefties is a miserable .232/.331/.343. Buehrle's control seems to be coming back, so I anticipate Baltimore's inept hitting against lefties to continue. In 34.1 IP, Ponson's dominance rate and command rate is very poor. The White Sox lineup can take advantage and score some runs against him.

NYY (BROWN) -142 over Oak (Zito) - 1 UNIT - 7:05pm Pacific
Zito's decline continues. Zito doesn't even closely resemble his former Cy Young self, as his strikeout and control numbers have been going south at a pretty drastic rate. The Yankees knocked him around in his last start, even though they struck out 9 times. They should experience the same success, minus the strikeouts, the second time around, especially since the Yankee bats finally seem to be turning it around. Brown and the pen should be able to hold the lead.

PLEASE NOTE: All wagers are recommended for a "base" unit. Thus a side for 1 UNIT at -110 should be considered risking 1.10 UNITS to win 1.00 UNITS, while a team at +110 should be considered risking 1.00 UNITS to win 1.10 UNITS.

Donn Wagner

This is a response to the post about Wagner. I have past experience with his operation but won't be specific about that. Wagner himself is a solid handicapper. The records he claims for his own services are legitimate (I know because I track the record of every service I use). He also markets several other services, some of which are legitimate and have accurately recorded records.

On the other hand, some of the services he markets are clearly "inventions." His m-o with these services is to accurately post their results on his site the following day UNLESS no one purchased that particular service. If no one bought, invariably he will claim the service had a winner. This is why the services that he markets as "in-house" and not available over a 900 line always have gaudier records than anyone else. Also, these services never show up on the Sports Monitor, even though the legit services he markets, including himself do appear on the Sports Monitor.

If all of this seems weird, it is weird. Wagner is honest about some stuff and a scammer about others. For a time a couple of years ago, I purchased one of the services he calls "The Insiders." I stuck with it threw four weeks of very mediocre results. The moment I stopped using it (It was expensive), they went off on huge winning streaks. i strongly suspect those were days in which no one purchased. As for One-on-one, I question whether this outfit actually does exist. Maybe it does, or maybe Wagner is just slapping a name on something. I can tell you for a fact that services he sells like "Winston DeMonte" Or T.W. Herri" are complete inventions. on the other hand, "The Stat Report" (Stan Lisowski), The Ticket, Players Advantage, The Cardinal, Spreadbeaters, Sports Insight and a few others he sells are actual services with honestly reported records. I personally have a hard time dealing with any service that isn't fully honest. On the other hand, as I said, Wagner's own picks have been very good over the years.
