Monday's Plays
I thought I had some good plays yesterday, Braves end up making 7 errors, the A's didn't hit, and Milwaukee lost another one to the Pirates! Went 0-3 and lost 9 units! YTD Record is 46-61 and down 21.51 units! Let's give these games a shot today and turn it around with some dam winners!

J Marquis and Maddux were team mates when they played with the Braves in the 02 and part of 03 seasons. With that in mind, I would think that both pitchers know a little bit about one another and would share the wealth with their team mates. Maddux started this season out pitching just down right horrible. In his last 2 starts he's pitched 2 quality starts, winning 3-1 vs the Mets, and winning 4-3 at Arizona. He pitched a total of 13 innings, allowing 13 hits, 3 earned runs, all 3 runs coming on solo homeruns. Maddux on the season has served up 8 long balls in 28.2 innings pitched. He has a Whip of 1.57 and opponents are hitting .292 against him for the season.
Jason Marquis has lost 2 of 3 starts at Busch Stadium this year. On 6 April he lost a 5-7 decision to the Brewers, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing 8 hits, 6 earned runs, 2 HR's, 1 BB, and had 6 strikeouts. On 17 April he won 8-4 over the visiting Rockies. With yesterday's low scoring game a 1-0 decision by the Cardinals in 10 innings, the winds blowing out to right at 5 to 15, Maddux's 8 homeruns served up in 28 IP, Marquis allowing 31 hits in 31 innings pitched, and both teams having players with past success vs the opposing pitcher, I'm gonna play this game to go over 9 for 5 units at even money. Gonna also play a 3 unit wager on the crafty veteran Maddux who has made a complete turn around over his last 2 starts for 3 units to win 3.21 units!
